Post Clearance of old PCs/ printers / etc. - proceeds go to charity

Clearance of old PCs/ printers / etc.

Over the years I have managed to accumulate a number of old computers that I’ve used then never got round to selling/ disposing of, so I now have a load of old machines taking up a lot of space!

Photos of the items listed below can be found at www.dur.ac.uk/c.p.heatherington

I'd rather sell as a job lot, however if you want anything in particular then let me know and I'll think about it. Here is a list of the stuff I have available:

******************************************
Compaq 286 Portable
640KB memory
inbuilt CRT monitor and keyboard
5.25” floppy disk drive
hard drive –capacity unknown, from memory its either 20 or 40mb!
No software or operating system

******************************************
Compaq 286 Portable
640KB memory
Inbuilt LCD monitor and keyboard
Should have a 3.5” floppy disk drive and a small hard disk, I’ve obviously taken them out and done something cleaver with them, if you want the computer I can probably dig out a floppy disk drive for it, maybe a hard disk and I’ve seen the plastic end plate that’s missing around here somewhere recently!
No software or operating system (obviously)
Comes with free Compaq padded bag/case for it!

******************************************
Compaq 386/20MHz Laptop
12MB memory
Inbuilt LCD B&W monitor and keyboard
3.5” floppy disk drive
and with 80MB of hard disk this really is a processing machine to be reckoned with
DOS 6
Windows 3.11 for workgroups
Comes with power supply and mains cable, however no battery.
This also comes with a padded carry case/ bag as well.
Also comes with docking station that allows you to connect it easily to desktop monitor (like the one I’ve got going below) and external keyboard etc. The docking station also has a joystick game card adaptor in the back of it.

Compaq 386/20MHz Desktop
Appears to be duff, anyone want to try and fix it?
Power supply works just doesn’t do much else.

*****************************************
Dell 486 DX2/66 Desktop
8MB memory
3.5” floppy disk drive
x24 speed CD-ROM drive
Sound blaster sound card
14.4k Modem
SVGA graphics –Built in graphics card (I think its 4MB)
No hard drive in it at the moment, but I’ll dig something out if required.

Can be supplied with 14” monitor if required

******************************************
2 Epson dot matrix 132column printers
Also have a few replacement ribbons for them.

******************************************
Miscellaneous
Compaq 14” VGA colour monitor
Several spare keyboards
Several spare mice
4 pairs of PC speakers –some with dodgy amp power buttons so work best un-powered
14.4k external modem

******************************************
Price? I'm not expecting much, you are basically saving it from being thrown in the bin! All I ask is that you collect/ pay for postage (I really would rather you collected), the cash you offer will be donated to charity so be reasonable!

I'm based in Newcastle, any queries e-mail me on chrisst170@hotmail.com

Item also on e-bay:

Cheers
