Well, just to give you an idea,

I've just sold my UK turbo MY99 to make way for another scoob (a Type R funnily enough). Unfortunately, because I have seen one that I wanted I needed to shift it fairly rapidly and hence sold it for less than I would have liked, but considerably more than I was offered as a trade in.

It is a Silver M99 UK Turbo
62K
FSSH
Eibach springs
EBC Redstuff Ceramic brake pads
H&S openneck 3" to 2.5" decat DP (wrapped)
Magnex decat centre
H&S back box
Bailey VTA dumpvalve with GG Racing extension pipe
STi panel filter
AirCon
6 disk Sony autochanger & head unit + 200W Kenwood speakers
Brand new Toyo Proxy T-1R's on the front and nearly new T-1S's on the back
Prodrive steering geometery settings
Sold for £7500

(I was offered £6000 as a trade in by 2 different garages!!! )

Hope that gives you an idea as to what the market is like at the mo. If you have a look on the Autotrader site, there are loads for sale... all different prices... I suppose it will boil down to how quick you want to sell it. I sold mine pretty much straight away to a mate of a guy who is in my local scoob club, so I didnt need to bugger about advertising... so I supoose I've been quite lucky??

Good luck with it!

Cheers for the input Jay bee,
I,m in no rush to sell so i may even put it back to standard over the next few weeks,as this could be more profitable to me and maybe easier to sell?

Which version type r did you get,im a bit concerned about going onto the earlier version type 3/4 after the uk 99,s interior and styling, and i will only have about £10500 to play with, there dont seem to be many v 5,s at this price.....if any.

In standard form I would expect to pay around 7.5k. With mods it's hard to tell as they don't exactly add value in real world, but to an enthusiast they could add say 500 quid?

Looks like its going back to standard then.

I would have thought the plate was worth £500.

then again £7500 dont seem to bad if i put back to norm..

Well, I have supplied all the original equipment included in the price (plus an interim service and professional valet), so to give the new owner the choice. I would say that unless you have one with a low mileage (at least low 30k's), it isnt as important to be completely standard (unmolested) but its a bonus if you can offer the standard stuff with the car. You might get a few quid from selling the mods separately, but with that mileage and (importantly) price bracket, you will be competing with similar age and similarly well spec'd cars . There will be other keen Subaru owners selling modded (loved & looked after) cars that are in just as mint condition as ones that have never seen a single mod.

Its a bloomin minefield!

All the best!

J
