Alex,
I have drooled over your car a couple of times at Boxhill now!!
So why has it got to go, you being dragged into the whole marriage/house thing? Having read what you posted on a different thread is it being replaced with an Impreza sport wagon??

Sorry to read about you having to sell your car Alex
But congratulations on getting engaged
Valentines day eh?
I'm sure it won't be long before you end up with a turbo wagon like mine

Alex,
I don't know your financial situation or anything (Although as you own a P1 I can guess.... ) But do you not think you might be better off in the long run to keep the P1??
By the time you have sold your car and bought something else you would probably be better off just taking out a bigger mortgage. Work out how much will be left over once you sell the P1 and buy something else. Isn't life too short????

Joey,
Already done the sums on that optio., Basically, I will end up loosing a fair amount when selling it, but ultimately removing the overheads of the running of the car will mean saving for a house + other things (wedding) is much easier (quicker).
I reckon I'll only be without a scoob for 2 years or 3 max..
But thanks for the idea, thought..

Oh dear
It is going to be such a shame to let THE cleanest P1 I have seen (wax wizard' every week without fail) go to an other enthusiast. However I am sure Alex would prefer it goes to a safe home. I know how much he will miss it, and on a personal note I also know how much Milly means to him to. Congratulations mate, you will make a fantastic married couple and if you buy a house near Guildford can you make sure its like 20 mins walk from Bar Med and Weatherspoons so I have a room to lay my beer head on.
Seriously though, despite the "Scoob market is going down hill yadda yadda yadda" quotes, if dealers are asking 18k for R plate STIVs, this really is not far off the mark for the market price. In fact its a little cheap if you ask me...he never fails to amaze me
Looks like the scoob is playing second fiddle now and hes planning for his future....I just hope Nat does not read this or my Plans of a cracking new motor before long will be tossed into oblivion!! yeaaaah right!
If I had the cash, I would rip your arm off.
Regards

Guys & Gals,
Sat down at the weekend after visiting some of you at Donno... in short, the car stays and the misses goes... just kidding, I've worked out I can keep the car and do what I need to savings wise, so win-win situation.
Thanks for the kind words and support,
Alex

Wish I'd thought of a similar way of raising this amount of interest when pondering over selling my soob!!!( without actually selling it!)
