Sorry, but thought that I might try it here with you guys!
I have been given a Data General Aviion Server, in exchange for some work for a work contact, which is basically an Intel Xtended Xpress Server, which was the dog's danglies back in the day (96). I have fully reconditioned it, going as far as cleaning entire chassis and non-electronic components in the bath!
Looks as good as new. Unfortunatly it is a bit old, but is easily up to it for Web sharing&firewall/FAST file serving etc. Would like to keep it, but I already have a monstrous Dell Poweredge running 24/7 at home. Here are the specs....
Full Intel Xtended Xpress Server Chassis + Mobo
1x (Riser Card)Intel P100 CPU w/486 cpu accelerated cache controller integrated
112MB RAM (96 Guaranteed 100% perfect, 16MB just added in by me, same type, not exactly perfectly matched pairs
)
Dual Onboard Adaptec 7870 SCSI Controllers
6 Bay 80 pin SCSI Hot Swap Bay
1x 4.5Gb IBM SCSI 80 Pin 7200RPM LVD Drive (Can add in a 9Gb Unused Seagate Barracuda 80 Pin LVD 7200RPM 80mb/s drive at additional cost)
SCSI CDROM
Sony / HP DDS2 DAT Drive
Dlink DFE 500TX 10/100 or 3COM 905 10/100 LAN Card
Sorry to go on, but people will probably just ask me the details anyway.
Don't let the CPU put you off. The MOBO really is top class and the CPU really doesn't hold it back nearly as mush as you'd expect Performs really well under NT4 server. Can still upgrade it, such as more RAM Riser cards, Dual P166 CPU Cards w/ 1MB cache each and get parts. Check at

It would depend on whether or not you wanted the additional 9 GB drive. I have run a few variants of linux through it and have no problems with it. Just mildly pants to use, prefer NT. I have actually downloaded both Mandrake Linux 7.2 corporate server and 7.2 workstation. Can have em' if you want...
I don't really know on the price side of things. Let me know what you really think price-wise and I will honestly tell you if it is too much or too little.
Cheers,
Nick

£250 is what I can accept for the server above. I have 2 people interested at the mo', via email, but thought I would put the settled price up here...
