NOW SOLD.
Hayward & Scott stainless steel decat downpipe to suit classic impreza (was fitted to an MY98). 11 months old, still got 24 years warranty left
Cost approx £235 when purchased.
This is a 3" open neck down pipe that reduces to 2.5" at the exhaust end so will match up to a standard exhuast or PPP or most other aftermarket decat centre pipes. Has also been fitted with splitter mod in the neck.
Splitter Mod? . . . . I am lead to understand that the open neck design gives better low down torque, and twin dump design downpipes give better top end. The splitter mod apparently combines the advantages of both, however as this is the only non-standard downpipe I've ever had I can't comment if this is true.
What I can say is that the turbo spools up about 500rpm earlier than with the standard pipe on, and the car was boosting up well by 2500rpm rather than 3000rpm with standard downpipe on.
Best sensible offer secures. Looking for offers around £175

A few questions
Where are you based?
Is the joint to the mid section a flat flange or rounded IE the type that will fit to an oem mid section with the rounded edge gasket (uses springs with the bolts to allow a small amount of movement)??
I have a H&S mid section that is designed to be used with the standard dp but I have come across aftermarket dp that have a flat surface on the flange that will not make a gas tight fit with an oem mid section.

This will fit to a standard centre section or most other after market ones (as it says in the original post). It has exactly the same end as a standard downpipe, you just slip the gasket ring of the standard downpipe when you remove it and put it on the H&S downpipe when you fit it.
