my mk1 escort for sale
Mk1 Escort, 1972 Tax exempt. Mexico I.D.
SPEC:
Exterior: This car had a full inside out respray and has been 95% sprayed underneath too, New mexico front wings were fitted at the same time as the restoration which was about 6 months ago. The car has loads of stickers on it but they can easily be removed. The bonnet is a very dark blue, mexico badges, no bumpers and nearly all the window rubbers are new.15" Compomotive ML's in grey, tyres will need replacing soon.
Interior: The car has a race style interior, it has a rear cage which is colour coded, 2 new Corbeau seats, 2 harnesses, the original 6 dial clocks and a carbon centre console with switches/cut off and 3 gauges fitted, also has ally door cards front and rear, and rs 4 spoke steering wheel and a fire extinguisher.
Engine: RJD Built 2.1 Pinto, stage 3 big valve cylinder head, 1.75" Inlet valves and 1.5" exhaust valves, new valve guides, a Kent RL22 Camshaft, vernier camshaft pulley and Burton power heavy duty valve springs with webber 45’s. The car runs on unleaded. The cylinder head was freshened up about 8 months ago.
Also has new Facet fuel pump, 4 branch manifold, lumenition , bosch dizzy, adjustable cam pulley , alloy bell housing, alloy rs engine mounts, 5 speed type 9 gearbox with a brand new uprated clutch and a single piece propshaft and an english axle. The car went on a rolling road about ten days ago and produced 158bhp and 142lb torque.
Suspension/Brakes: Spax Coilovers made from Capri 2.8 front struts with spherical top mounts and new springs upfront along with 4 pots princess callipers, oval strut brace and drilled/grooved discs upfront, the back end has Polybushed Single leafs, new gaz adjustable rears shox and a rear disc conversion with cable handbrake for MOT reasons. The car also has a fixed height panhard rod fitted.
The car is Based in North London, the V5 is in my name and any inspections/viewings are welcome.
The car is Tax exempt but I don’t have any tax for it yet as it took a while to get a response back from FORD to agree the car is 'Historic' but I now have the letter.
I will consider any cheaper vehicle in part exchange.
