P1 for Sale

So I have to sell the P1 
Local garage have offered £20K - Provided I trade in for another car (that is £4k over top book)... two words
Another garage reckons £24K if I let them have it in the showroom sale/return... (I don't actually have a problem with them having it - provided it is insured...)
If I put it in a paper for £25950 I am probably inviting time-wasters/joy-riders anybody got some advice?
Forgot to add: MY00 W reg, 17k miles. Standard P1 with WR exhaust & lights (Originals included in included boot!) blue 4 point harness.

Other bit of advice is to bring the price down to £24.5-25K......Subaru dealers have been putting them up for £26.5 with that mileage but younger (X-plate.

Thanks for the advice Gastro, it's exactly what I needed to know!
I'll put it up for £25,000 and let people knock me down a bit.
Everybody want's to pay £20K (as you would expect) - I've already had cash offers at £22K from a guy at work...
