Is it worth having the AVCR if you have the Commander or does it do the same job?

Yes it is worth having. The AVC-R lets you adjust boost levels in each gear rather than just one boost setting for all with the Commander.

Is there any real point to bothering with a Commander? If you can 'fiddle' with some settings you may be inviting trouble?
Seems to me that for the same $$$ an AVCR is more use to reliable boost, especially like the idea of setting max boost for each gear.(etc)
Thoughts?

Remember that the FC can alter fuel, timing, etc.
AVCR is boost only, so you would need to make sure the car wasnt going to run lean when the boost is lifted.
Would be ok for small power increses but not for a full re map, its just not possible.
