Nearly went this route myself BUT please be aware that the tyre size is not the same as will fit 1st generation scoobs. Therefore, you are potentially buying 17" wheels only & some rubber that is no good at all (& not just because its an RE10 ). You will then need to buy tyres that will suit.
Therefore, to summarise, the wheel will fit MY00 & before but the tyres in this case are no good.
If you've got an MY01, then a second set of wheels/tyres for trackdays....

Please tell more! I was seroiusly considering getting these wheels, so whats the tyre sizes on the MY01?
Can I take it that the wheel offset is the same as before?
Cheers
Justin

The magic wagon is correct, you don't want the tyres if you buy these wheels for an MY00 or earlier.
The 01 wheels will fit but you will need to change the tyres. The 01 uses 215/45 x 17 and the rolling circumference is too high. Not good for optimising the gearing of your MY00 or earlier.
Note that the offset is marginally different also. The new Impreza is a slightly wider track, I think that the MY00 uses ET53, the MY01 uses ET55.
The extra offset will result in a slight loss of steering feel.
I have bought/sold a coulple of sets of these and whilst not having them on my MY00, I think the are a nice wheel and a reasonable weight (<10Kgs I seem to remember)
Chers, Houlbt
PCB....feel free to mail me your best offer and I'll tell you if I'm interested. Got a few contacts after a set of these but depends on what you want to sell them for. I can take the tyres only if that helps, mail me a price.

However, further to my previous post, the set I was going to have got stolen in transit! Therefore there is a chance that a replacement set will turn up shod in SO2s & the correct size
The price of purchase was equivalent to a set of SO2s - which is more or less the same as I purchased a set of MY99 16s 18 mnths ago.

I've just fitted a set of these to my MY95 and noticed the differant tyre size as I was fitting them.
I started a thread asking about the differance in sizes and if there would be any majour problems and most people said no.
I know it will throw the speedo out slightly but besides that what other problems do you think it will cause.
Thanks
Chris

Cheers Puff will do.
I should have done it yesterday really at Castle Coombe.
Saw you your co-driver and the wagon arrive yesterday, looks like you could do with a visit from the wizzard .
The P1 lights look very nice ,are they better than the PIAA's?
See Ya

I agree, speak with Pete.
I know a colleague with an MY01 who put the 17"s off his MY00 with the lower profile tyres 215/40/R17 on his new MY01. He said that when he changed to the 18"s that he had ordered (which had the same rolling circumference to 17"s with the 215/45/R17 tyres) that he noticed a difference.
I assume you can apply this in reverse....i.e. you might expect/detect a difference from an MY00 to an MY01 wheel circumference. Correct me if I'm wrong, but would you not expect less torque from a larger rolling road circumference (all other things being equal) but more top end speed?????
What a pants response, ring/mail Pete.
