Yep McRae is 208bhp standard.
£8500 is about average price for a 75k miles McRae. I was offered between £8000 and £9300 for mine with 56K miles.
He should get what he wants for it but may have to waite a while.
Cheers

Hi there.
Thanks for your message.
Let me explain the situation.... One of my customers is selling this car privately as he is taking delivery of a new TVR next week....hence the low price.
We were initially told that he wants £9,100 for the car, and that's what we put on the site.....Yesterday he tells us that he will accept £8,500, hence the ad on BBS.
Quite literally (at 2pm today, Thursday), he now tells us that he's sticking with the original price of £9,100.

Just to clarify......this is DEFINATELY a 280bhp......it has an upgraded engine, and has been superchipped to become this "all singing, all dancing, fantastic car"..... and the price is £9,100.

"All it will cost is a £5 admin charge. Then a mere 10% of the sale price"
so if you sell it thats £915 !!!!! no wonder he wanted to stick with £9,100

surely with the 10% fee etc. means the owner of the car would only be getting £8200.
A phoned a dealer who said they would pay Between £7700 an £7900 for this spec.
So if he needs a quick sale, why not take it to a dealer? will only lose a coupla hundred quid.
For once I am in complete agreement with cammy, a very rare thing indeed

Performance upgrade for the McRae was not standard. Full details below.
In June 1995, to celebrate their winning of both the manufacturers and drivers World Rally Championship titles, Subaru in the UK released a limited edition run of two hundred cars (numbered 1 to 201 - no number 13!) prepared by Prodrive going by the name of the Series McRae. The main improvements over the standard model are:
Special mica blue paintwork
6.5 x 16 inch eight spoke gold Speedline Safari alloy wheels
Pirelli P Zero 205/50 ZR 16 low profile tyres
Recaro sports front seats with open headrests and Series McRae motifs
All seats (front and back) and door panelling retrimmed in Le Mans/Avus material
Factory fitted electric tilt and slide sunroof
Interior numbered Series McRae plaque
Side and rear Series McRae decals
On the road price was £22,999

Mattn,
It must be the weather as i found myself agreeing wholeheartedly with Gastro this morning. Could this explain the riots in Oldham, the negative vibes from Scoobynet has moved North.
Cheers
