How much to install it?
I didn't think you could buy these without having them installed...

No I' afraid not ,as I said earlier, I own my own company now and dont have the time, else I would stick it into my own car.
Plenty of people out there who could do it for you though, they arn't difficult if you have an idea of electrics.
Most installers dont seem to have any idea of anything though so beware. Used to train them when I worked for CLifford, scary ordeal that was.

Regards,

Dave.

Red face

Buying a clifford other than from a dealer means NO garentee, NO Thatcham rating, And aload of hassle getting it fitted. Sorry mccltd but these people have to be informed of the facts. Other wise it gives us proper fitters a bad name.

I've had bad experiences with Clifford Alarms on my other cars so I agree it's not a good idea to buy one without a warranty, my others had a habbit of either not letting me in or going off when a fly landed on it

Question

Right then,
Yes there is no gaurantee but then what do you expect for the price.
With regards to Thatcham if its installed correctly it will be thatcham approved, and with reference to problems well.
All I can say is that I used to do the Clifford training courses and a majority of people attending shouldnt be installing radios let alone an alarm system.
Ok there are the pro installers, people that dont worry about getting more cars in that day for more profit and rushing the jobs, but people that take there time in installing correctly and setting them up correctly.
90% of our returns used to be down to installation faults and not equipment fault.
Installers blowing up central locking components,,wiring diodes round the wrong way..installing the units with scotch locks(yuk) , not getting power from proper sources.
All I can say is get a descent installer and you will have a trouble free Clifford.
When I left Clifford a couple of years ago I went to a local Security firm and installed them there, Clifford comebacks! never heard of them, all I saw were more customers wanting a descent install coming to us.
But alas I have left that trade.

Dave
p.s mega_stream if a fly sets your system of take it back,,use the diagnostics find out whats setting it of, then let me know what it is triggering,,where it is located and what car its on. If its the microwave sensor no doubt its been placed incorrectly, most installers just throw them in anywhere.
Some even cable tied at the top of the dash looking straight out the front window, hmm good one.
