AE86 Toyota Corolla Levin Coupe
-1984 with 175KM (about 110,000 miles)
-Fresh import with 12 months MOT and 6 months TAX
-BODYWORK: The car is a rot and rust free example imported from Japan. It does not have any rot anywhere. Some very minor rust patches and the tailgate could become rusty in the future due to the spoiler. It has been attached by rivots, some of the rivots have come out.
As far as I know the bodywork is standard with the front splitter removed and a TRD rear spoiler.
The paint has faded all over the car.
-Uprated clutch
-2 Way LSD
-Strut Brace
-Cusco adjustable camber plates
-Coilover suspension
-Stripped out interior. No carpets, rear seats, rear interior trim, spare tyre etc etc
-Roll cage in the back
-Small momo steering wheel
-Drift wheels at the rear and chrome alloys at front
-HKS induction kit
-Lots of other stuff.
The car is taxed, tested and ready to drift. Im no drifter and I can get the back end out on this car and control it. Ive changed the spark plugs and will change the oil filter and oil this week.
The car is noisy and a very bumpy ride its not for the faint hearted its a hardcore drifters car.
The car stands me at £3850. I want as close to this price as possible. It is available for viewing in Manchester. Please pm me or call 07834 327687.

Just tiny specs of surface rust, as stated in the advert. The car is over 20 years old and its nothing compared to UK cars. JDM cars are in much better condition.
AE86's are very prone to rotting and most examples have rotten sills, arches, roofs, bonnets, tailgates and boots.
The condition of the car can only be appreciated by those who know AE86's. I wouldn't expect your average Joe to appreciate the condition of this classic. It may look rusty but compared to most AE86's, it isnt. The add and pictures were aimed at those who are in the know, AE86's fall into a very small and niche market.
Its strictly for Hatchi Roku fans..
So if any hatchi fans want to come and check the bodywork for rot/rust you are more than welcome. I know you will be surprised.
Magic beans will be for sale after christmas :;

They are really fun cars.
I have a white Levin GTV myself. Finding a shell that only has a little bit of rot is a miracle. Like you say - its a lightweight 20yr old car - they are getting rare - took me about a year of searching before I got what I wanted.
The Japanese say the hachi roku trains a driver. I've only owed mine for about 2 months now but its one of the best communicative cars I have owned. They steer from the rear very nicely.
you could always advertise on aeu86.org

Ive had 2 RWD Twinks..there a brill car..like you say...very very hard to find one that aint turned to powder in the UK climate..These cars will make you drive them correctly..having said that,i always found them a little under powered and for this kinda price nowadays would always go for a 200SX if i had drifting in mind..or a cheap Skyline GTS-T..!!!
Good luck with the sale
Oh..try putting it in Irish publications..they love em over there..thats where both of mine went..

Underpowered as std yes... but it depends if your engine is like this:
AE92 ribbed block
Ported head with valve train to support lift high cams
Think 288 intake exhaust cams
AE101 crank and rods Lightend and balanced
AE111 20v pistons
0.8mm TRD headgasket
20V ITBs with jubiride intake adpater
20v injectors
Freedom ECU
Trust mainfold
Apex Exhaust cat back
Little bit quicker then

Bet that goes well...but for the money thats in that engine, with an AE86 wrapped round it you could have a 350bhp liner or a 300bhp 200SX..dont get my wrong i adore the twink but mega £££££ to get it goin...lovely starter drift slag tho..

Car is no longer for sale. I had a temporary financial crisis which is solved ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Im glad there are people on Scoobynet who appreciate the Hatchi. Going in for a full respray after christmas
Igratton: That is some spec on your engine, what kinda BHP does it provide ?
Fastscoobyfella: Although a sx or a liner can be had with 300BHP easily its just not the same as an N/A engine, the 4AGE in particular. I had a S14a not so long ago and I prefer the power delivery on the N/A engine . I personally feel N/A and hatchi combination is perfect for amateur sideways action, especially this time of year.

I know what you mean,
about 18months ago I toyed with the s13 and s14/a (I almost had an s14 before my first scoob 8 years ago - sometimes wish I had now as I would have learnt to drive better not having a 4wd safety net LOL) or even an R32/R33 GTS-T.
I love them all but for me there is something very intimate about the hachi - you feel very much a part of the car when you drive it. One of the other things is that a lack of power in comparison with the other turbo'd drift slags means that its more about control than power.
One of the signatures on the ae86 forums says it all really - If you can't control 90bhp ... 900bhp isn't going to help you

Ha ha...well said...but...im sure that your aware that its easier to slide a motor thats got a few more ponies..less clutch slip etc etc..Im sure thats your point in a roundabout way,but when i had my twinks the lack of any amount of serious power in second and third gear meant that,it was runnin out of power just when ya needed it..
There was no drift days back then it was all on roads(private of course!!!) as we were all skint and couldnt hire anywhere to really test what was goin on..
We did actually Turbo an AE86 back in about 91,we had an RS turbo series 1 garret and intercooler, fabbed manifold and a Modded HKS headgasket(to drop the comp) supplied by Adrian at Fensport,we also had a modded MAP sensor and fabbed the oil feeds etc..
It was all very rudimentary and we was young and just gettin into moddin, but it worked well, till it enivitably got thrown into a field at speed..!!!
