4 new 205x50x16 EMT Goodyear F1s with tyre pressure monitoring system

Anyone after new tyres maybe interested in these. Ive a set of four new 205x50x16 Goodyear Eagle F1 Extended Mobility Technology tyres for sale. These arent the normal F1s, these are the run flat tyres as fitted to the new batch of supercars
They allow you to drive upto 200 miles with a puncture and I believe can be repaired as with a normal tyre.
As it is recommended that these tyres be run with a tyre pressure monitoring system (because you dont know when youve got a flat tyre) I will sell them with my new Smartire pressure system.

Ann,
It's worth a try if your looking to shift these but I will tell you now the majority if not all pay around £105 for SO2/3 on 17" size and if doing track days changing them almost 3-4 times a year if not more. Furthermore clearance on larger brake disks etc.
17" are the trend and good balance BBS'ERS want to use, tyre safety is important and is checked on a freq basis, but owning these Scoob's we have learnt to expect high ware then the norm.
If these tyres really do preform better than the SO2's then I believe people would be interested in 17" at around the 105 mark. On the other hand I wonder what tests were done to check how they preform in the last 200 miles they have left before total flat.
On road by law you have to have a spare, on track I suppose you want the fastest lap times etc and don't want to stop until the flat is flat..I cant see people risking it.
I think this would suit a total different market other than BBS driver, such as the disabled, lady/mum drivers not wanting to wait in the dark for the AA man to turn up to change their tyres for them.
Do you know how demanding 4 wheel drive cars are on tyres? it is more likely for the tyres to be worn, and if worn what's the point of fixing the puncture? I think you see my point
I think some may just invest in the pressure monitoring system as this will tell you when your pressure is dropping.
Your quote "May I suggest you keep your in-accurate advise to yourself" Hello what planet do you come from? what do you drive?
That is a bold quote considering you don't even understand what market these would be best suited to...just think about it. I cant see much interest with that type of comment at the end of your post. You could of just put the tyres for sale and if that's what happened last time, your back for more...how long ago was that? and your still trying to sell them..I must say you have a very good nack to getting the features and benefits across to others.
See your post again in another 3 months when you get the bottle.

I will point out at the start that I don't want these at the moment.
However, I can see their advantages. Have you ever been stuck on the hard shoulder with a flat tyre, a bootload of stuff to remove, and a 'spacesaver' spare to put on? Then had to drive the 30 remaining miles to work, fail to find anywhere with decent tyre prices (or any in your size) and had to drive the 65 miles home at 50mph to get the tyre replaced?
Imagine if you're a salesman (I'm not) -- half an hour arsing around with some tyres will not only make you late, but probably filthy too. Not too good for that meeting with the client.
I was tempted by some of these a while ago but couldn't get hold of them. Now I've got some three-day old Toyos on I'm not in the market.
Someone will buy them. 400 quid with the monitoring system is a bargain.

hybrid,
my local halfords has stock of OZ Supperlegeras (sp?).
I think people are just trying to make the point that you have basically said on this persons thread, don't buy these tyres, and, telling the person that is selling them that everyone that looks at this board wants 17's not 16's and they've got it all wrong.
I'm sure you wouldn't appriciate it if everyone selling wheels/tyres put theres for sale within your thread.
If no one wants these Goodyears, they won't sell. No need to try and say everyone on here wants the biggest wheel and everybody takes their cars on tracks it's simply not true.
People sell all sorts on here. I mean how is a PS2 going to help your car go faster round the track, after all that's apparantly all everyone does on this BBS.
Ann, sorry for hi-jacking your thread.

LOL at Hybrid, I notice you are selling some 17" wheels and tyres, for the same price as new but with only half the tread left on the tyres.
Hybrid, I see your new. This BBS is not just about people who take there cars on tracks and want the biggest wheels. Personally, I have 3 cars and only one has 17" wheels (standard) and if I hadn't just put new tyres on my car with 16" wheels I would consider these tyres. If I took my car on the track so often I needed to change tyres 4 times a year, I'd invest in some slicks or buy cheap worn tyres. Not brand new road tyres every 3 months.
£400 is fair, they are new tyres. You may say you can get 172 so-2's at 105 each but if you've got 16" wheels they ain't much help are they!!!
It seems you have got this BBS/market completely wrong.

I think youll find that the majority of users on here pay more than £105 for SO2s and if you tell me you know of a supply of SO3s that are being retailed at £105 then all I can say is that you are a liar. Please prove me wrong and post on here the details of a contact who can indeed supply 205x45x17s at the prices you claim.
If these tyres really do preform better than the SO2's then I believe people would be interested in 17" at around the 105 mark.
So if I provided conclusive proof that the performance of F1s is equal to that of SO2s then you think people will accept a price rise of 20%? Are you mad????
On the other hand I wonder what tests were done to check how they preform in the last 200 miles they have left before total flat.
What are you talking about??????? They dont go flat slowly, they lose all pressure as youd expect with any tyre but you can continue to drive on them due to the design of the sidewalls.
On road by law you have to have a spare, on track I suppose you want the fastest lap times etc and don't want to stop until the flat is flat..I cant see people risking it.
No, wrong again. The law states that IF you have a spare tyre then it must be within the legal wear limits. The only place you have to have a spare is on a motorway.
Again what are you talking about??? The exact same point applies to EVERY tyre avalable that will fit a 4wd car, Im am just explaining that the tyres can be repaired if they suffer a punture to the centre tread section.
Your quote "May I suggest you keep your in-accurate advise to yourself" Hello what planet do you come from? what do you drive?
That is a bold quote considering you don't even understand what market these would be best suited to...just think about it. I cant see much interest with that type of comment at the end of your post. The comment I made was to the people who posted on my last thread stating that these tyres have to be fitted using specialist machinery, this simply is not the case.
As for me not knowing the market very well! What percentage of the users of this board regularly take their cars on race tracks? How many do you think have large brake conversions on their Subarus? How many, in fact, do you think run not standard tyres?
See your post again in another 3 months when you get the bottle.

I can only conclude from your posts that you are either a wind up merchant or that you are simply an imbecile.

Oh, and as for your seconmd hand Super Ls at £850 PLUS carriage with half knackered tyres I consider that an insult to the intellegence of any and all the Scoobynet members. Its not as if they are decent tyres!
Theres a business near me doing NEW 17" Super Leggeras complete with F1s AND delivery for just £895 so who do you think is going to buy your over priced second hand items? You really think that because people may have to wait a couple of weeks for the new one that they will pay ridiculous money for yours? Now whos misjudged the market![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif)
