Denon AVD 2000 dolby digitial decoder. Effectively a DAC for digital sources only. Requires plugging in of playstation 2 dvd player or laser disc player, and plugging output into five channel amplifier

Rotel RB 985 THX 5x100watts rms power amplifier.

Bridgable to three channels therefore combined with above, perfect for adding on to normal hifi system or as a stand alone unit dolby set up.

I chose this set up in the first place as the decoding of the denon chpi was the same as that used in their top range items and the amplification of the rotel is grossly superior to that of the yamaha all in one boxes.

Further to this, the yamaha/denon all in one boxes supplied hundred of surplus features that are wasted when my only persuit was quality.
