Default Unrepeatable Brake Offer SOLD

SOLD

FOR ONE WEEK ONLY - £1,300 (see last post for reason...)

It is with mega regret that Imust offer a brand new and unused specially-made Alcon front brake kit, as fitted by Prodrive. As you’ll see from the spec, it’s a premier league set-up that will make a massive difference to any Scoob’s stopping power.

Kit comprises:

Alcon 4-pot race calipers in hard-anodised aluminium finish
2 X caliper mountings
356 X 32mm grooved racing discs
2 X alloy disc bells
All necessary fittings
Set of Pagid blue pads
Set of Ferodo DS2500 pads

Note the disc size – at 356mm it’s a fair chunk bigger than most upgrades you can buy and with 32mm gaps, the airflow/cooling is significantly better. The new owner also gets a choice of the best pads money can buy (flame suit on). Whatever way you look it, this Alcon option is an absolutely ideal set-up for road/track/race usage.

And the really good news is that his fantastic kit will fit all Classic and New Age Scoobs with minimum 18inch wheels. And that’s why I’m parting with them because my P1 has standard 17inch rims and I’m not going to upgrade.

Price: £1,600 excluding p&p

I don’t have any pix but will see if I can get some sorted later this week.

First come, first served, so don’t miss out on this unique opportunity. If interested, email me at: liz@blows.fslife.co.uk.

I now have a pic of this excellent kit which, if you bought the parts separately, would cost well over £2,000 - and that's before VAT and without the two sets of Ferodo and Pagid pads. Anyone serious about upgrading their brakes should give this Alcon set-up serious thought.

Default surprise

I know it's a case of the right buyer at the right time for kit like this, but I'm amazed that the offer hasn't provoked any comment from you guys - good kit, bad kit, too cheap, too expensive. Or even just a reply to keep the sale somewhere in view on this ever-movin' site.

Anyone?

Its most probably a good kit but you can get Ap 6-pots for that money mate and there is nothing that will be as good as them.

BTTT for you antway mate good luck with the sale.

I would love them Dave but for me, (and i'm sure many others on here), £1600 brakes are just a bit too serious price wise. I'm sure some one will av em though mate.

thanks HoonDevil!

Bighead - can I ask where you got those brakes at that price?

Might just be that I'll have to listen to offers! I know my kit is better than the set up Bighead has mentioned, but i appreciate that private sales always go for less than one might want.

Ah! Thanks Bighead - didn't realise it was a private sale.

Anyway, I now have a dilemma - I've just seen some gauges I like (for the first time!). Defi BF. Cool or what? So I need the dosh.

Anyone stump up £1,300 and they can have them. Let it run for a few days, so goodbye to the Defis and put the price back up again.
