Default Mint low millage tasteful Volvo 850 T5 £4995

The full badge title is a 1996 'P' Volvo 850 T5 CD Auto Estate. The CD model is top of the range, and although the 'R' models were higher spec they were also limited and sports orientated.

The cars was bought around 13 months ago and was a 2 owner car to that date, and was absolutly standard. The spec featured full electric and heated leather seats, climate control, cruise control, x4 electric windows, electric mirrors, PAS, on board computor, 6 CD changer, ALPINE built volvo premium sound system with 8 speakers, drivers airbag and SIPS of course. Spare alloy wheel and underfloor storage. Being a 1996 model, it shared some face lift components with the 70 series, that make it look a little less dates, such as the seat belt clips, radio cassette and some of the switch gear. The extra's included only a wood steering wheel, and thus the car has no sunroof, roof rails or front fog lamps.

When i picked the car up it had every mot and full service history and was immaculate to say the least. Today the car has 90500 miles and has been maintained regardless of cost. It has had 4 oil changes since i have owned the car, aswel as a cambelt change (Feb 2004), new plugs (Nov 2004), leads (Feb 2004), dizzy cap(Jan 2005) , rotar arm (Jan 2005), thermastat valve (Dec 2004), brake fluid change (Aug 2004), auto transmission fluid change (aug 2004), x4 discs and pads (aug 2004), new 17" alloys (aug 2004), 2 week old goodyear eagle F1's (215/45/17)(Feb 2005), eibach springs -30mm, bilstein shocks (nov 2004), privacy glass (Feb 2004), 70 series side repeaters (March 2004), 70 series washer jets (March 2004), Volvo strut brace (Dec 2004), de-badged at the rear and replaced with a 'Evolve' decal (american Volvo tuning company). The only mods it has to the engine is an undetectable RICA ECU and ITG panel filter (Feb 2004). This adds around 30% torque and power upgrade. The car has been garaged every night since i have owned it apart from a weeks holiday in france last year. The exterior is imaculte and un abused. There are traces of the odd chip and scratch and the wheels have been kerbed slightly. The car belongs to my wife, which explains the wheels, but we have recently sold my car and i am using it now, as she is after a people carrier , but the car is too big and thirsty for the nature of my job (inner city driving).

I have recipts for around £5000 in mods and maintainence but it is regretable that the car needs to make way for my Skoda fetish. This is catagorically the best 850 around and it will be a shame to see her go.

If this sort of thing is your bag - PM me.

£5500 OVNO

P.S The plate is on retension and will have a "P" reg with the car.......

EDIT

I have the original shocks and springs, a group A twin piston DV with the car. The car is HPI and has never been in an accident. The previous number plate was P37UAV and before that G15 ANG

Performance wise:

0-30 = 2.2
0-40 = 3.0
0-50 = 4.3
0-60 = 5.8
0-100 = 15.0
0-120 = 19.8
0-150 = 50.0
0-159 = 1 min 58 secs (MAX SPEED)@ 5714 rpm

0-100ft - 3.1 sec
0-500ft - 7.9 sec
1/4 mile 14.7 @ 98.8

You say its thirsty... I guess that comes with the territory, but can you give me an idea of how much it costs to fill up and how far that gets you?

£50 to fill with optimax. The range is around 260 - 330 miles.

@ £0.82 / litre = £3.73 / gallan = 13.40 gallons.

260 miles = 19.4 mpg.
330 miles = 25 mpg.

The only time this made an improvement was a 1400 mile round trip to france, where they serve very clean 98 ron at every pump and this achieved 365 miles / tank every time which is a little over 27 mpg !
