Default **Time for a Change** 450bhp+ 450ftlb+ 1995 WRX RA

White 1995-M reg. Subaru Impreza WRX RA.

Custom 2.5 Engine Conversion with modified Heads/Block, Mitsubishi/GT30 hybrid Turbo, H+S Downpipe, 3.5” Special HKS Hiper Exhaust System, Race Headers (Only set in UK), Lateral Performance 5 Paddle Clutch (drives almost like an organic clutch, ie. not harsh!), Uprated 5 speed.
Autronic Ecu with Launch Control and anti Lag (in Car switchable).
Racing 8 Plugs with large Denso coil packs, Apexi Front mount Intercooler with Greddy Blow off valve. Uprated Fuel System, 850cc injectors, Billet SX fuel Regulator, Motorsport Pump, Anodised fittings and braided lines etc.
Currently Road mapped to 1.8bar with Optimax and Octane booster, Dyno’d 454bhp/440ftlb @1.45bar of boost, estimated 500bhp+/480ftlb at 1.8bar. The car has recorded a 12.3sec 1/4mile @1bar of boost.
Apexi AVCR boost controller (0.7,1.2,1.6bar settings atm), Defi Link system Guages including Boost/EGT and oil pressure (these have playback/memory etc). 6 point Roll cage (which still allows for use of all 4 seats) Cobra Drivers seat and Harness.
4pot Front brakes with Mintex fast road pads, RACELINE RL7 17” alloys and new tyres, Spare 16” Advan lightweight Alloys and tyres. STI Clear/white Rear lights
I have removed the Carpet but will replace if buyer wants.
Clifford security, (full spec for Buyer).
The car has covered 51k and the Engine/Turbo/Gearbox roughly 5k since build.
2 UK owners since importing last year, CCSPerformance who imported the car and myself.
11 Months MOT and short tax
Now for the bad points:
The wheels have very slight Kerbing, The boot has 2 supermarket dings and I have relocated the Number plate onto the bonnet.

This car needs serious respect, at full boost (and half ) the speed rises very quickly, as a rough comparison to another car, the Acceleration matches my friends proven 750bhp R32, many Porsche’s and such like have tried to play but I have never met another car to even match my cars performance on the road (apart from above ).
Some people may wonder why I am running standard Suspension…. The reason is that I changed to coilovers and found the ride too crashy and harsh and it spoiled the drive, I bought a set of MY00 WRX Suspension which had been removed from new and fitted that, which made the car much easier to predict and have fun in.

Reason for sale is that I finished this project a while back and am bored with just driving the car, I get more fun out of fixing and playing with cars than I do driving them… Bit stupid really but hey… I pays the money you make the choice...

A lot of time, money and effort has gone into getting the car right.

I’m not in any real hurry to sell the car, if it sells… it sells and if it doesn’t…

May be interested in a R32 GTR pt ex (something new to play with).

£8500 no offers

Total Build cost adds up to over £12k without Labour and mapping (not including car).

Pictures and any questions on request to Rob@tweenierob.co.uk

Going to take some good pictures this afternoon mate, will put a few on here and mail out the others to everyone who has asked.

Thanks for the good words people, maybe if i had paid for the labour etc it would be more but i thought i would have more chance of selling if the price was realistic (rather than recouping money spent)

Dave, it was like a breath of fresh air putting that std suspension back on... coilovers gave me back ache! Crash... bang... ouch.. Cheeky ******!!

No worries Chris, although interest has been good i dont exect it will sell before i get your turbo on etc so i'll let the car pull your guts in again

Ive had quite a few PM's from friends telling me not to sell it PMSL! it really is being wasted now, there really is no point me keeping it if all i do is drive it.. Ive lost interest now i havent got any thing to play with...
I did consider fitting Nitrous, not cause the car needs to be any faster but purely so i had something to do

In some respects it is stupid to put so much time/money into something and then sell it but i need a new challenge... Maybe if i break a GTR i will HAVE to fix it

Rob

p.s. not interested in any other pt ex's people, unless it is a straight swap for an Evo5

I have thoughts of MarkWard trying to explain the mods to the insurace Co trying to get a quote LOL

What a bargain, I have recently bought a MY95 STI RA - nicely modded but I'm currently getting it to 350/330, total cost including car £8500

LOL!

Jay, this is not your average car...

Just uploading pictures people, someone just came over to look at car... PMSL!!!!!!!!

Took him out in it and he said it was too fast for him ? i said turn the boost down then!

Whilst removing paperwork from car i found an old dyno sheet from power engineering, 396bhp and 404ftlb @1.2bar on optimax.. cant be bad

If anyone interested only wants a 400bhp car then the avcr can be adjusted to suit

Pics in a sec, thanks people!
