Becky,

Sorry chick but it can't have 28 mb of ram, it's not possible, as 28 isn't divisable by 8. Not being picky, just trying to help you with the sale. You sure it's not 128 mb?

Thanks Phill

Ive double checked and it definetly has 28mb. A quick search on google shows Im not imagining things and it is possible to get 28mb in a compaq laptop:

http://www.satech.com/compaq-noteboo...0c-memory.html

The memory expansion slot is empty so you could upgrade the memory if you wanted.

I stand corrected, but still don't believe a laptop with 450 Mhz processor has 4 mb of on board RAM and is upgradable with a 24 mb maximum.

Sorry to but in, just can't work this out. It's a 16 / 32 bit processor, and the memory in that format shouldn't really work.

Thanks Phill

Phill,

I got all the info for this Laptop from Belarc Online so it's 100% accurate!

I'm not sure what else I can say.

To clear things Phil it probably shares 4 mb with an onboard video memory chip. So it is 32mb memory, BUT 4Mb is that is used for the video ram.

Top for you

Jon.
