lots of interest but only one showing the colour of his money but slightly less than I want to accept at the moment.. I still think £600 for a fitted and mapped Link is a complete bargain.. correct me someone if I am wrong?

iv never really looked into these, only apexi and scooby ecu. how do these compare? i know its impossible to say exactly, but what sort of rough improvement would be expected for 95 wrx with exhust, decat, downpipe, intercooler, panel filter? currently 280bhp and about 240lbs/ft
im guessing it will be mapped for optimax too so no need for OB?
be gentle im new to the world of scoobies and turbo's car!

Mapped for what ever fuel you have in it when we map it, so yes could map it for Optimax.. or Optimax + booster or 95ron if you really wanted.
The limit with the earlier cars is the map sensor so would be looking at 1.1 to 1.15bar boost without some other form of boost control.. assuming your boost is around 0.9bar at the moment so however much 0.25bar of boost is worth..
Plus timing and fueling will be altered to the best values to take into account your mods and can be further mapped in future for future mods or the boost controller you'll buy at a later date.. lol.. also MPG should be better as cruise can be made more sensible than the standard rich set up.

ok matey, the car is boosting to 1.1 bar at the mo though. the boost hasnt been upped other than from the exahust, IC, etc so a 3bar map sensor would be worthwhile in this case?
i shall have a think anyways matey

Unless you want to run very high boost the 3bar map sensor is not worth using.
You are better with an Electronic boost controller or even a manual boost controller which is what I used at the moment.
I could loan you the manual boost controller and set it to a sensible boost for you..
