This is a stunning 98 Impreza Terzo with a massive engine upgrade comprising: EJ25 Legacy block, turbo internals, sti 4 cylinder heads, manifold and TMIC, TD05FE Turbo, 440cc injectors, HKS downpipe, Walboro fuel pump, fuel pressure reg, Possum Link ECU, HKS induction and twin dump valve. It has run 1.2 bar for 8000 miles without problems. It has serious mid range performance due to the increased cylinder capacity. The engine was built by Thames Valley Motorsport, one of the most experienced of Subaru tuners, specialising in big engine conversions. The cars done 65k.
For 1998 to celebrate winning the World Rally Manufacturers title for the third time in the row, Subaru UK released the Terzo, which means third in Italian. There are 333 of these cars, all supplied in an exclusive blue similar to the WRC cars, with gold 16 inch alloys and special Terzo badging on the sides and rear. Inside the STI seats are trimmed in grey 'Alcantara' (a suede-effect) interior trim, with black 'Jersey' surround on seats, interior plaque, and air conditioning. The car also comes fitted as standard with a Cobra Thatcham category 1 remote locking alarm/immobiliser priced new at £22,995.
This is number 321/333 and comes with a fantastic private plate and new Kenwood audio system to complement the car. The downside: The car had a bonnet/roof interface at some point in its life and although the bonnet has been replaced there is some rippling at the front of the roof. There is no paint damage however and the rest of the bodywork is clean. There appears to be a slight oil leak as there is a sheen on the crossmember though it doesnt seem to have affected the levels so I may just be being pessimistic.
You are welcome to view, I'm near Cambridge but please only come if you have an intention to buy. Funds must be cleared before the car is released and it is advertised elsewhere.
It needs a little love, but its not far from greatness and with a 20g compressor wheel and a FMIC, this would be hardcore.
P/x a possibilty, but I dont have any cash to add.
Any questions drop me a line. Cheers.
Andy
