Default Honda Integra Type - r 200 BHP for sale

For sale Honda Integra Type R. Light, balanced, ably powered and poised for action. The "R" is the first of a new breed and at the time new brand from Honda's die hard racing dept. Stripped out with lighter doors, bonnet, interior, exhaust system plus - a trick borrowed from the RS Porsche, - thinner windscreen glass and a LSD thrown in for fun. The white hot magnesium coupe is seriously outstanding fun and embarrassingly good value for money.

As soon as I sunk into the fire red Recaro seats, placed my feet on the drilled alloy pedals and cranked the 197bhp VTEC 1.8 into life, I knew this car was beyond all the hype I had encountered. As the needle peaked at 9,000 I grabbed the stubby chrome gear lever and wheel spun into second the engine now screaming, reminiscent of wild jungle noises, my surroundings were blurring rapidly. With pin sharp steering, literal go-kart handling and an engine tune right up there with the exotica. Despite all this, none of the traditional Honda virtues have been lost. The NVH characteristics are good, with a supple suspension, comfortable ride and great radio to drown out the wind noise when above 80mph. The chassis is a gem too, with incredible levels of grip, feedback and response. The whole car is extremely stiff - not surprising as it has four crossbrases - but the ride remains composed and comfortable.

The result is one of the most enthralling entertaining and enjoyable cars I have ever driven of any power, price or size.

This particular car has been taken care of, regardless of cost since being imported and registered this February, and judging on its condition this would have been the case in Japan too. There are no mechanical problems, (v-Tec works well) and the paint work is also good. The interior is showing slight hints of its age but far less than would be expected.

This car is N-Reg 1.8 V-Tec Type R and is not a counter fit, like so many these days, first Registered March 1996, re-registered in the UK Feb This Year.

The Integra can be driven steadily all day long and return over 30 mpg without a problem, but that’s no fun.

Fitted is a Sony CD/ Radio as well as component speakers and tweeter which cost £246.00 (receipts to prove).

The car also has an insurance approved CAT 1 immobiliser and alarm which operates the central locking (cost £300.00). This car is HPI Clear, and is Ready to drive away. The car is fully road legal, and will not need a SVA test or anything. Furthermore, this is a DC2 Integra Type R which is very RARE, and looks much better, and also costs a lot more than the UK spec.

I Have the V5 logbook, MOT certificate, Number plate authorization certificate from DVLA, certificate of cancelled registration from JAPAN, certificate of importers details from the HM customs, receipt for £1,026.66 for when SVA test was carried out. This included MOT test, odometer, 4 BRAND NEW Eagle NCT tyres, and Brand new brake pads. There is also a CAT 1 alarm certificate, and couple of receipts for the installation of the alarm and stereo. That’s all I have present. I had the service history which is in Japanese but has been misplaced during a house move. Have not found it yet but will keep trying (so for now assume its being sold without this).

I have also recently changed the oil and oil filter, fuel filter and replaced the air filter with a custom built ITG replacement unit.

Engine 4-cyl, 1797

Top Speed 139mph

P/W 179bhp per ton

Only £6750

Nice dramatisation:
