New Sony Xplode Cd player
Think thats it? but not sure might have to more . . . . .
History of the car : My home is in S.wales but i spend the majority of my time living in the centre of birmingham. My 1st car is a 95uk impreza turbo, which due to me living in brum, stays at home in wales because of the worry of something happening to it.
So after getting really fed up of public transport for 2 years in brum, i thought its about time i bought a 2nd car. I toyed with the idea of getting a crappy banger, but due to my love of cars just couldnt persuade myself, plus i'd always loved the gti's.
My 2 greatest concerns about buying a gti, were firstly hunting down a minter that hadnt been thrashed by ever boy racer under the sun, and secondly how would i sort out the insurance for 2 cars.
The insurance was the easiest bit, because of the age of the car it is classified as a classic car. So after a phone call to a specific classic car insurer they would insure me 3rd party fire & theft on the car not using any of my no claims (so they could stay on the scoob) for about £270 !!
Problem solved - - - - - - now i had to find a car !!
I spent about 3 months searching all the published options, but this only disheartened me, because all i found was complete dogs !! So i tried widening my search on the net, which lead me to enthusiast pug sites. And within the month i had found my car.
The chap i bought it off was a massive pug enthusiast, and he originally bought the car to turn into a track day project, but due to a cheap Mi16 coming along he was forced to sell it, before he had a chance to use it & play with it.
I bought the car early last october and have been using it regularly ever since. The car has been very reliable with the only problem being a burst brake hose, which i have replaced with better quality ones both sides.
Since i've owned the car its had a full service and an MOT, which only cost £36 due to blocked windscreen washer jets and a bulb above the number plate out. The car has been very reliable, always starts 1st time what ever the weather, doesnt suffer from the idling problem that all pug's seem to have and has basically been a fantastic car to own. The car has absolutely no rust on it, no accident damage and for the year the body work is in immaculate condition.
I think that should be it? but if you need to know anything else just ask.
This car would make a great 2nd car for someone or a perfect track day car as its the rare non sunroof model.

As a former 205 GTI owner I can say from those pics it looks mint. Going on the price of today's fuel and the high mileage I do, I may be looking for something like this myself.

Any engine problems, blue/white smoke etc?
Whats the rear beam like?
Any rust on the inner wings/chassis legs, or down the bottom of the 3 quarter panels?
Wouldnt mind a look at this but you're a bit too far. You heading up North anytime soon? I have a full black leather interior thats crying out for another 205 to go into![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

StiX & Dream Weaver:
Absolutely no engine problems since i've had it, no funny smoke, starts 1st time what ever weather, idles perfectly etc.
Rear Beam is fine, no probs again since i've had it, nothing brought up on MOT and the cars been checked over by an exprodrive friend before i put it up for sale all ok.
And as for rust there is NO RUST on the car what so ever.
Basically the car is immaculate inside and out, as i've previously said it flew through the MOT with only fails on blocked washer pipes and a bulb out.
I live about 10 miles from Newport.
And in reply to you Dream Weaver i aint got nothing planned at the moment, and with the amount of interest i've had in the car even before it goes in the papers/magazines (tomorrow), i doubt fingers crossed i'll have it much longer.
Anymore Questions?

!!! CAR IS NOW SOLD !!!
Sad to see that car go, was a minter and really good fun.
Nevermind i got a lot more than i originally asked for it anyway.
Cheers for everyones interest, just a shame that people didnt live closer, but good luck in your search for right car.
P.s. I used a site called (forums) "www.PSOOC.co.uk or .com" for my pug, bought it off a lad called Andy Kirk, nice lad.
