Unhappy O dear It's gona go and i am not looking forward to it !

Well,

I have had my my05 sti import for 6 months and I have to say it's been great fun !

far better that any other cars I have owned....type r....306 git 6 etc....

But last month I worked out how much in a week I am spending on fuel !....I do 60 miles aday up and down the M6 car park and it's still costing me best part of almost 2 tanks a week !!!!

It's just becoming a pain in the *RSE.....

So I decided to put her in the Auto trader and look for somthing that will give me a bit of fun as well as 35mpg.........and as soon as I manage to sell it....it's gona be another type r or the new golf gti ....

But how much should i have put it in the trader for ????????

6months old
perfect cond
black jacx
tracker monitor
9800 miles.....

how much ????????????

it's in for 18,450.....yep that's 18,450...after only 6 months....i paid 22k from motor point....

Fun at a price......PRICELESS !

M8, if I was you I would be gutted, but surely knew about the STi's love of Optimax and howmuch it woulc cost you before you bought it?

This is why I bought the WRX, could you imagine the fule bill doing about 2.5k a month.

just kidding, if I could live with the extra petrol cost, £450/month is enough for me, I would consider it.

So how many MPG were you getting? I'm just about to take the plunge and get an STi and i do similar motorway miles, approx 50 per day. What do you reckon that will cost me?? I'm already thinking it will have to be a monday & friday to work in the Sti, the rest of the week in the run around.

Thumbs down

Well it went for £18,300.....it's is a big loss....but I I didnt have much choice....

Yep I can imagine it is messing up sales of JDM version's.....and yes they are better cars.....

but like me i guess when you purchased the car you also knew how expensive they are to own....

If you want sell it... Put it the autotrader....just make sure you never give anyone your home address...as I had a few calls after just my address...!
