1999 T Impreza 5 dr DBM 54k miles £6,500
Hi there,
I am selling my pride and joy - a 1999 T registered Subaru Impreza 5 dr Turbo.
It is in dark blue metallic with 17 inch gold alloys.
It has only covered 54,000 miles and comes with a full service history. It has recently has a gearbox rebuild at a cost of just over £1,000. This was apparently caused by a fault inherent in gearboxes of Imprezas this age. It has also had the brakes and rear discs replaced fairly recently and had two new tyres a few months ago.
It has the usual turbo refinements (electric windows x 4, electric mirrors, category 1 alarm / immobiliser etc). It also has an internal proline kit, radio cassette with CD changer, a Nokia hands free kit, boot liner and rear load cover plus an additional rear spoiler.
It will be available in a couple of weeks, when I have managed to get it serviced and taken the private plates off it. It will be sold with a new MOT, a service and 6 months tax.
I will be advertising it on autotrader once all this has been done - however please let me know if you are interested before I put it on at a higher price. I am based in Hampshire.
I am only selling as I am relocating for work and the mileage allowance does not cover the petrol!!
I am looking for around £6,500.

Anyone else out there need more pics I have taken a load today.
Re the gearbox, it kept slipping out of fifth gear into neutrl (about once a day). And then it would not change at all, so I had a rebuild. Apparently it is a common fault - signs are the gearstick moving when you accelerate and difficulty getting into reverse.
The car has been repaired now - apparently Subaru modified the synchromesh as it was a design fault.
