Default BMW M3 EVO Saloon Estorial Blue MINT

By far the best example of a M3 EVO saloon on the market.
In the only colour to have IMHO Estorial Blue.
82,000 miles with FBMWSH
VANOS unit recently changed so no need to worry about the Vanos.
Silver Leather interior.
Dual Aircon recently regassed.
Heated seats.
18" MV alloys. Wider at back (255) than front (225) as originally intended by BMW, also even the spare is a matching 18" MV alloy
Electric sunroof.
TRULY stunning condition and SHOWROOM condition.
This car has 4 minor stone chips at THATS it. I would have to show you the stone chips for you to see them.
Leather is superb, showing just a little sign of its age.
Silky smooth 6 cylinder M3 engine producing 321bhp RWD.
VERY quick, and very reliable.
If you are considering one of these cars look no further, I have looked at a lot of M3,s before getting this, but this is leagues above anything else on the market.

All alloys are superb and near new. with some VERY minor scuffs to 2 of them.

The leather is VGC with just a minor blemish to the drivers seat. See pic.

The expensive VANOS units was changed in 2004

Aircon was regassed in 2004.

Rear arm bushes changed last week.

Taxed, and MOT'd till Aug 2006. Valid V5 form in my possession.

ONLY 82,000 miles.

History as follows:

> mileage 2612 serviced at BMW Thorne 30/01/98
> mileage 7362 serviced at BMW Thorne 17/06/98
> mileage 15761 serviced at BMW Gerrards 1/12/98
> mileage 25266 serviced at BMW Gerrards 07/05/99
> mileage 29712 serviced at BMW Gerrards 11/10/99
> mileage 35775 services at BMW Gerrards 03/03/00
> mileage 41989 serviced at BMW Gerrards 29/06/00
> mileage 46813 serviced at BMW Gerrards 07/11/00
> mileage 54120 serviced at BMW Gerrards 18/04/01
> mileage 62179 serviced at BMW Gerrards 20/09/01
> mileage 76,783 services a LMW BMW specialist 18/11/04

Last 4 MOT's on file - with mileage stacking up between 2001 and 2004

This has heated seats, 6CD changer, electric sunroof etc.

It still have the first aid kit in the original wrapper, along with the BMW torch and fire exstinguisher under the drivers seat.

The car pulls strong and cleanly we no known mechanical faults.

EDITE TO SAY: WAS pricef at 10K, and was sold on a deposit, but buyer has pulled out after finding our the car was CAT D which came as a major surprise to both parties. Also the car has the airbag light up, which I have had this problem with just about any car I have ever owned, and needs resetting or a new pressure sensor fitted. Therefore the car is back on the market at a greatly reduced price of £7500 and £7000 if you can move very quickly with CASH.

NOW PRICED AT £6500 NO PX's

The car was repaired in May 2002, and has had several MOT's and services since, any inspection welcome on the car.

The car shows no signs of repair that I can see anywhere, apart from the car being too clean for its age and mileage. cat d means the car has had some cosmetic damage at some stage. I suspect the car was key scratched on every panel. And the car has had a full bare metal proffesional respray as a result.

Car Based in the East Sussex Area.

Details on CATD

Thumbs up

That is a cracking car . For my money, I'd prefer the oringinal alloys but she's a beauty all the same - best of luck with the sale.

Cheers
Kav

PS - I'd try a punt on Pistonheads as well.

Cheers, originals only 17" and the MV's are 18" and like new. But here what you say a lot of purists may want to see the original M3 alloys. I would have liked to be able to offer the option but sadly dont have the original alloys. Will put in pistonheads.

THanks for that (NOT) - Parkers probably list most scoobies on here at about 50% of the price people are asking same as with EVO's, RX7s' etc, etc. Parkers is a guide and nothing more. This car is truly mint and apart from 2 very minor stone chips the car is like as New. Parkers do not allow for cars of this qualilty. Also parkers is fine for a ford mondeo's that are 2 a penny. But anything that is a little special and rare can afford a price outside of Parkers. The market demands it own price, find me another M3 EVO 4 door in Estorial Blue that is like new for 9-10K in the country and then I might take some notice of Parkers.

I would almost insist anyone in the market looks at other M3 Evo's first before they look at this. I travelled 100's of miles and looked at lots, that were either crashed repaired, bad bodywork or paintwork, knackered interior, noisey Vanos, and worse all of which were described at the time as perfect.

There were 2 M3's evo's in a local garage both asking 10K for them, and they both had a lot more miles and were cr*p by comparison to mine. And have both recently sold

p.s The advert does state o.n.o as well. I don't expect to get the full asking price. But thanks to your comment Its now made it more likely that I will not get 10K for my car.

Sorry mate. It is a very beautiful car, and IMHO well worth 9k, but I just thought I would let you know what I found.

Hope it didn't take too much off your sale amount

Duno M8, eye on a couple of things. Really tempted with an RX7, ans justed missed out on a great example but considering another.

Also have seen a 400+bhp Audi S4 for sale, with a shed load of money poured at it, with RS4 bottom end, bigger turbos, injectors, remap porsche turbo breaks and disks, TV and a lot more. Sounds fantastic, but its the sort of car that I would have to keep as it won't sell again easily.

But yep still tempted with another scoob, but only if its cheap and fast enough, you know me.

Back up for sale, see original thread for reasons. The car is CATD, which in hinsight may explain why the car is so clean. Price has been radically reduced from 10K to £7500 and £7000 if you can move quickly with cash.

common peeps, catd is light cosmetic damage. The car is truly mint, and showroom condition. No chips, pin dents, scuffs of scraps, history is great, and the car is straight as an arrow underneath.

Priced at £7500

bttt - 321BHP rwd so no loss of power through 4wd = a STI Munching machine (at least in a straight line).

er I was under the impression that Cat D was uneconomical to repair, cosmetic or mechanical??

I.E could have ha da front end smash, knocked it when brand new or something. Cost of repairs are too much in the insurers eyes so it goes cat d, someone picks it up cheap and fixes it.

Or coudl be no damage at all, stolen recovered etc.

Or am I wrong?

Still looks nice, has the wheels I'd like, the colour and shape (4 door) that I've always wanted

Pity you can't find out what made it Cat D, contact previous owners?

Yes you are right, but catd is the least on the list.

starts at Cat a which mean it should not be back on the road through to catd.

Definition of catd varies depending on who you speak with, but yes the long and short of it is the insurance company decided to write the car off as a result of damage. Being a BMW and what things costs as optional extras and repairs by BMW, it would not take much before an insurance company decides to write a car off.

I have been over the car with a fine tooth comb, and there is defo no signs of damage to underside, rear boot, pillars, front end, or anywhere. I therefore suspect in my instance it was as a result of key scratches to paintwork.

The works was carried out in May2002, and has has several MOT's and services since. All of which gave 100% all clear.

If someone is interested in the car they can carry out a gold HPI check which will tell them what was done to the car. I have no intention of doing so as I do not need proof the car is straight as an arrow, and miles better as a result of what repair work was done.

p.s the V5 does not even mention its catd. So is you were an unscupulus person, you could sell the car without declaring its Catd, and unless someone carried out a hpi they would never know.

A front end smash that damages the engine is gonna be a bit pricey to repair. As the engine on the M3 is the expensive bit.
OR
it may of even ingested some water ?
It hasn't had a previous owner from Lewes or Uckfield has it ? and got caught up in one of those floods a few years back....grasping at straws I know.

I can vouche for this car being a minter, I couldn't fault the bodywork when I saw it, and I was on me hands an knees looking.
