Subaru P1, New STI9 Rebuild, mint. LOOK
If you want a P1, this is the one your gonna buy. I bought this car only 3 months ago, after 4 weeks of ownership the big end bearings went and the engine needed a rebuild, this is a common fault among Type Rs and P1s, check out the forums for more info on this.
Anyway, its not really a feasable option to rebuild the P1s engine as it will still be prone to this failure, so a brand new STI9 shortblock was used and the rest of the engine build around it, including all new gaskets etc, the work was carried out at the most respected Subaru tuners in the UK, Powerstation in Tewksbury, and they have done a fantastic job. So the engine is now freshly rebuild and is being run in as you read this, no need to worry about having this problem anymore, the STI9 shortblock is a much better design than the original P1 and these problems have been remedied.
Other spec other than usual include:
Hi-Spec 6 pot monster calipers and 330mm disks up front
Brand new Brake pads EBC Redstuff, just ran in
Stage 1 HD Organic clutch kit, 2 months old
New flywheel
Full Ninja exhaust, 6 months old
Baileys dump valve
FSSH and Powerstation stamps
VERY VERY CLEAN AND TIDY, Immaculate inside, HPI CLEAR
Anyone who knows their Subarus will see that this car is a bargain, decent P1s go for around £14500, but there will always be that doubt in your mind about the engine problems, leave these doubt behind and take a look at mine, over £4500 ( rebuild, clutch etc ) spent in the short time i have owned the car and unfortuantly i have emptied my bank account so it looks like my pride and joy has to find a new home.
PLEASE no messers/time wasters, i may be interested in a PX for something interesting and fast upto £8k, but please no boy racer cars or crap stuff, im after something special/rare/ big bhp/ concours etc nothing else, NO big bodykits etc. any age as long as its mint and 200bhp+.
Ideal PX would be a low milage RB5
