I have a 1997 impreza wagon, 2000 turbo, uk spec, mica green, with 72000 miles and fsh 'till this year. It has a cherished plate including the numbers '555' and Im the fifth owner. It has a tracker monitor and immobiliser fitted and sony cd player.
It has the later (1998) five spoke subaru alloys (in mint condition) fitted with bridgestone turanzas up front and continental sps at the back, both in very good nick.
It is standard bar the wheels i mentioned and a magnex backbox (oval)Mechanically, its sound - no probs at all. the condition is good except for a scuff at the front left of the car on the passenger bumper (nothing major at all) and a scuff also to the back right of the car on the bumper (even less than the other one).
Recently someone tried to steal it and failed, only I had to fork out 270 quid to get a new barrel and chipped key re-programmed by subaru in stourbridge, though I got the car working back to its nippy best again and have the reciepts for it.
this car is perfect to modify as it is UNTOUCHED so all tuning done by the prospective owner will be ALL his own work as opposed to shelling out for someone else's cowboy jobs as is the case with many scoobys, but can also be a reliable family car if modified sensibly.
I only got it in june but after the bad experience of the attempted theft I resolved that no car is worth the hassle when living in a high-car-crime area.
Oh and 'Ticky' from this forum has seen, sat in and driven my car and can vouch for it.
regards to all,
zakk

Its only been a short time that you've actually own it & I know that you had plans on upgrading/modding certain bits. It's a shame really, as I know how long you waited/searched for a good example.
Having drove's Zakks car I can say it run's perfect, engine does not miss a beat. Good clean/tidy standard uk wagon.
