Mint Classic - Readvertised
The time has come to sell my baby, the spec is as follows-
Uk spec (European imported from new) Turbo 2000
W-Reg, registered in 2000
Low Mileage, just 39,000 miles!!
Full service history
3 owners in total (V5 shows 4 but first was dealer)
Just a few sensible modifications-
Kenwood head unit with 10 disc changer
Clear side repeaters and front indicators
Backbox from a P1, stainless steel and embossed with "STI"
Blitz air filter
Bailey dump valve (can be easily removed if you dont want to be a chav!!)
The car has been very well looked after, I have mainly used it for weekends etc, as did the last owner, hence the low mileage. I have had the luxury of using my girlfriends car to get to work but now its cold she wont let me have it. My trip to work is about 50 miles a day and I dont like putting miles on the Subaru so this is the main reason for the sale.
It gets washed nearly every time I use it, or at least 3 times a week.
It is fitted with a full closure CAT1 alarm from a very well known company and has a Tracker.
It is in excellant condition. The interior has no blemishes or marks and looks like new. The paintwork and bodywork are in excellant condition. It has the usual few marks on the front of the bonnet and a very small "trolley dink" in the front driver-side wing (about the size of a match head) which could be easily knocked out.
The wheels are in very good condition and are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza's which are the brand Subaru fitted to the car originally. I have not measured the exact tread depth but they must be around the 6mm mark. They were only put on in May at a cost of £500 and have only covered about 5000 miles.
I have never thrashed the car about and it has never been near a track to my knowledge. It is properly warmed up and cooled down before and after use.
I am looking for offers around £8200 but am open to sensible suggestions.

The guy who was supposed to be buying it pulled out the other day. He was going to pay £8000. I will let someone else have it for £8000 but no less. It will be having a major service at Subaru next week which will probably cost me £250!!

Thats a nice looking Impreza.. my friend is looking for a late Classic, I've e-mailed him the link so he can have a look at the spec & pics fo himself.
One thing I know he'll want to know is when was the Cambelt last changed??

Thanks for that.
The car has been serviced at Jordans in Hull which is a main Subaru dealer for the last 3 years. I have all the receipts for the servicing and the book is fully stamped.
Unfortunately because it is a euro parallel import (from new) the printed text in the service book is in German!! Therefore although it has been fully serviced by Subaru I cannot read the printed text to see which service involves the cambelt change.
As I said I have all the receipts from Jordans but they dont break the tasks down fully, they just state for instance "30,000 mile service carried out." Looking at the receipts the 30,000 mile service was £400 so that more than likely involved a cambelt change.
I guess if he was serious I could ring up Jordans and see if they hold the info on their computer?
It is going for a service at a Subaru dealer tomorrow so I will ask them to look specifically at the belt.

On your car the cambelt should be changed at 60,000 miles or 4 years. On the earlier cars it was 45,000 miles, but some dealers got confused by this and changed the cambelt at 45k on the later cars too.
When I had my major cambelt service done it cost about £700 iirc so you should be able to identify it by this!
