That was prob for an import. I never see them for less than £6000 for a uk bike of the B1 model and if u look on the auto trader there are 2003 bikes with more miles than mine for £4995 or a bit less and private sales bikes with alot more miles than mine no less than £4000. A dealer near me has one the same as mine for £4995 and thats a 2003 and another dealer has 2, a 2004 for £4750 and a 2003 for £4350. Ive done some homework but know what u mean about new prices. I once brought a K1 GSXR600 import new for £4795 and months later the same place had them for £5495 !!!!! Now the same bike is £6295 (obviously the later model). The receipt for my bike new was over £7000 with the kawasaki bits on it but as we all know as soon as new models come out u can pick up last years bike for alot less. Mine is as new so I think its a fair price looking around at others that are abit tatty
