RC car for sale..
This is No2, the 1:5th went tonight
I put this together myself a couple of years ago, then I got involved in a new house and never really got chance to play with it.
It started life as a protech 1:6 scale .21 engined car, which in itself was a good piece of kit, but after a while I decided the chassis plate looked somewhat empty, so I bought another car and made a twin out of the two. This involved CNC machining to the chassis to take the other engine, and the relocation of other components, new fixtures etc, twin throttle linkage, and exhaust bracket.
What you will get:
The car as in the pic.
Spare set of medial pro bonded wheels/tyres.
The spares from the donor car, all suspension etc.
Basic radio gear.
Other spares, glowplugs, etc.
Glowstarter & charger.
Subaru shell ( mint)
205 shell ( used )
The car is best started from a starter box, but the pullstarts are included, although they are no longer fitted. It still has the standard single engined clutch bells, so speed tops out at about 45mph, longer geared clutch bells are available, and there is a 2 speed box, though this has a cog stripped, ( easliy & cheaply repairable ). Another way to start the car is with a thrust bearing ( out of pullstarter) and a cordless drill.
There is a soundclip of both engines running here:

This car is a real crowd pleaser, and drives superbly, this scale of car tend to handle in a very realistic fashion due to their longer wheelbase, but light weight. It's extremely quick off the mark, as you would expect.
All in this thing stands me at over £650, so the start price is set at a reasonable £300, considering the work that has gone into it, you can have this for just over the price of a brand new single engined protech.
More pics are available on request, please mail me at mike@urquattro.co.uk
cheers,
Mike
