I have decided to part with my G-Tech.
This is essentially a unit with high prescision g-force meters and an accurate clock. What does it do? Well, it enables the following performance figures to be measured and displayed (the weight of your vehicle must be entered):
Horsepower
Torque
1/4 Mile time (and 1/8 mile and 60 foot)
0-60 mph time
0 - 100 mph time
100 - 0 mph time etc.
Max G acceleration
Max G braking
Max G cornering (left and right)
It has integrated shift LEDs (four seriously bright LEDs light up one after the other as the revs rise, and all flash when the chosen rpm level is reached).
It can store up to around thirty runs in internal memory, and you can play-back runs to see when you changed gear etc.
It only needs to be wired into the ciggy lighter socket - amazingly it uses the 'noise' on the +12V feed to calculate rpm.
It comes with an adjustable suction-cup bracket, power lead, manual, box and it even still has the plastic screen protector on the LCD (I never removed it).
Why would you want such a thing? Well, apart from the fact it's dead cool, even when you aren't recording a run it will continuously display rpm (with shift lights) and will show the current G-force reading along with a rotating arrow to show which direction the force is acting.
If you have some mods done, it can show you how much faster your car now accelerates/brakes/corners etc. and will display the corresponding 'dyno' plot of horespower/torque at the wheels.
It can settle some arguements in the pub - use it on your car, then transfer it to your mates car to finally settle the "mine's more powerful/quicker/grippier than yours" type arguements.
Much more info is available on the website:

Including a neat demo here:
http://www.gtechpro.com/test.html
But here are some pictures I took earlier today (excuse the quality, and note the screen has the removable protector still on it)...
It's a neat little unit:

Here's the screen showing one stored 0-60 time:

Stored quarter mile:
![](http://www.btinternet.com/~rumoon/Scooby/GTech/MemQrtr.JPG)
Stored peak horsepower (at wheels):
![](http://www.btinternet.com/~rumoon/Scooby/GTech/MemHP.JPG)
Stored torque:

Stored max G-force under acceleration:

Further details are available as graphs, such as this (you can move the cursor to take spot readings etc.):
![](http://www.btinternet.com/~rumoon/Scooby/GTech/Dyno.JPG)
When driving normally, it shows g-force and direction - here's me braking gently (the big 3-D arrow moves round to show direction of force):
![](http://www.btinternet.com/~rumoon/Scooby/GTech/BrakeG.JPG)
You can then find out the peak figures in all four directions - this was a seriously fun roundabout (thanks to the new rear anti-roll bar and geometry set-up):

Here's the shift lights approaching what I set as the shift point:

And here it's time to change up (although I am stationary and just revving so I can take the piccy):

Isn't it great?
All I want for this excellent condition unit is £100 ono! What a bargain.
pm me if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Ru'
ps I may consider swapping it for something gadgety

Why am I selling it if it's so good, I hear you aks?
Well, I'm not planning any mods to my car, so apart from the initial fun I've had with this (and in my mate's cars etc.) I haven't really used it recently.
By the way, this unit can even be calibrated with drag strip timing information, to make it even more accurate!

All news pms replied to, apart from one who has a full in-box
I'm collecting offers today, and will sell to the highest bidder tomorrow morning.
Please note that this is UK-only, and payment must be via paypal, or cheque (in which case I will need to have it cleared before sending the unit).
Cheers to the person offering a weekend of **** with Pamela Anderson - very tempting, but my GF would kill me I'm afraid...
