Pristine Impreza turbo for sale
The car is well known in Subaru circles and has been featured twice so far in two of the most respected Japanese performance magazines with a third feature due out in the next couple of months detailing its’ latest incarnation.
This is a very rare opportunity to own an Impreza which has available to its’ new owner, a detailed history of its’ evolvement over 7 years of ownership by this one original owner from new. The car is one of the most pristine examples of a classic Impreza you can buy today. There is no finance outstanding on it, it hasn’t been crashed and has done, in total 50,000miles with approximately 5000 of those miles with a 2.5 litre engine.
The cars’ performance and reliability are second to none, even at its’ present level with an engine producing in the region of 600BHP.
No expense has been spared over the time of my ownership. All performance enhancing parts are tried and tested and have proven to be as reliable as a standard Impreza.
In its’ present 2.5 litre form, I have driven this car for over a year, with the only reliability issue being the gearbox, which has been replaced with a suitable 5 speed unit built by Zen Performance which can handle the serious performance this car gives.
Specification is extensive and every area requiring to be upgraded to cope with this performance level has been attended to, therefore the new owner only has to drive and enjoy the car for what it is.
The cost of parts alone in this car exceeds £20000, a serious sum of money, not to mention the time and effort required to make all those parts work in harmony. If you can buy an Impreza of the same condition, performance and proven reliability for a similar amount or less, then I advise you to bite the owners’ hand off.
[I]A brief specification is summarised below.
Engine:
2.5 litre hand built Roger Clark Motorsport engine using all new uprated components throughout.
Gearbox:
PPG straight cut synchro box (1-4 gears)
Quaife front diff
Suspension:
P1 struts and shock absorbers
Uprated anti-roll bars
Strut braces
Wheels/tyres:
Speedline ST2 17” alloys
Toyo 215/40x17” tyres
Full details can be obtained by E-mailing me at:
Alan.Garrod@Interbrew.co.uk
Serious enquiries only please. No timewasters. This is not a car for the inexperienced

Blimey Alan. Didn't think that you would sell it as a complete car I must admit!
Would dearly love to be in a serious position to offer
Mail me for more details if you like

Yes, it was in Scooby magazine last year. That article was written when i first put the car back on the road with a 2.5 litre and has seen considerable improvements since then.
I have no idea what could give the same adrenaline rush this car gives. In reality, i probably won't see this sort of achievement again.

Nothing set in stone yet Dave. I normally hanker after something for ages before taking the plunge, but nowt floats my boat at the moment.

Alan, I've followed your build progress over time and I've always been impressed by the quality and detail of your work. The finish is factory like and I sorta hoped I may be in a position to buy it one day or at least try to do the same one day. It's come a little early for me though
Good luck with the sale, the new owner will be very lucky indeed!

I've never done a 1/4 mile with Andy, so can't give proven times.
I've used an AP22 on the old turbo and now with the AP22 linked to a GPS unit.
Times are in the order of 9 seconds (30-130), 5seconds (30-90 in 3rd gear) and 0-100 around 6.5 seconds.
Don't fancy an EVO. A good example of Skyline might interest me though, but all depends on what model/spec.

That looks like a very clean example Andy.
I've got two other cars to run around in just now, so no need for a 3rd. Having said that, you've given me a thought about another Impreza along with what replaces the one i've got! D

Nowt wrong with taking care of your pride and joy!!
Have looked after all the cars i've owned and each one i've sold as best as they can be.
Even this one i use just now on a daily basis is 17 years old and its' condition puts cars only a couple of years old to shame!! Pity it's worth naff all, but hey £25 to service and £130 / year insurance is good in my books!
