you need to buy a separate Autoleads Alpine adaptors -
These are used to plug your Ipod into Alpine HU through the AI Net plug (Multi-changer) and charges the Ipod while your drive and plays the Ipod through the head unit.
and yes its completly compatible with an ipod but not sure on the search option.
leads are in the market for bout 50 quid.
