Thanks for your PM mate, have sent you another PM in reply and asked a few further questions.
looked around on the net mate, but cant find anywhere that sells this particular model anywhere near the price that you quote off £1600, was this the price you paid new or the currant price ??
lastly from reading some off the sony computer brochures it would appear that this model is no longer available ?? one off the sony vaio versions with what looks like a higher spec than the one you have is available for a good bit less than this price ??
very interested just a bit confused if you can just clarify for me.
have the cash now if we can try get something sorted out soon.
cheers,
john

Jono,
YHPM....
As for the query(ies) above, The laptop was one of the higher range of laptops when it was in production i.e. model range. It has been replaced with current range of laptops, at beginning of this year (if memory serves me right)
One thing I would like to explain and you probably know, is the fact that newer computers/laptops are more than likely to be higher spec machines than previous models and cost less than the previous model did. Its a case of ensuring that the machine bought is fit for the purpose intended for, so as to avoid losses, as is the case for me! DOH!
There are many factors which determine pricing in this sector and like you said it can become confusing, BUT REST ASSURED this is a QUALITY Product and I am selling ONLY due to change in circumstances/direction else I would keep as a spare unit.
Hope this helps....
