Can be secured in a number of ways - double sided tape, glue, sealant, screws etc.

will they fit on top of the older type dash,ie just glued on to the top flat??

Yes, they will fit on top of any dash as long as it is flat. Size of this pod is 19cm wide, 26cm deep.
