Default STI Type R V5 for sale

STI Type R V5, model code GC8 in metallic steel grey.

PRICE: £10900

0 to 60 in 4.3 secs! (Subaru figures)

David Hendry Cars imported it from Japan from new.

Was first registered in the UK in January 1999 (on a S plate) and has had a total of 5 registered keepers, the 5th/last being myself. I have owned the car since 11/06/2005 and have run it for about 15k miles and had no problems with it. It has a service history, some by David Hendry Cars and more recently by independent specialists Scooby Clinic. The engine oil is Silkolene 10w/50 fully synthetic racing oil.

The mileage is around 50000. Its got a few stone chips on the front bumper etc as they all have, otherwise it is in a good condition. Inside it's also clean and tidy, and has not been smoked in. There is no known accident history, and nothing at all recorded by HPI. Its pretty much a standard car, apart from the induction kit.

Standard type R kit:

- STi intercooler water spray (both auto and manual)
- STi Group N 5 speed close ratio gearbox
- STi short shifter
- STi Driver control centre diff (DCCD)
- STi grey/red suede bucket seats
- power steering
- Twin airbags (these are not always present on all V5s)
- aircon / climate control
- electric windows
- electric mirrors
- Factory tint on rear screen and quarter windows
- Rear wash/wipe

Extras:
- Slight tint on the side windows
- Trust Induction kit
- Intercooler protector grill
- Defi Gauges (oil temp and pressure and boost, in pod on dash centre console).
- Thatcham Cat1 alarm
- Tracker
- CD player
- 17" Rare Rim alloy light weight wheels and Toyo T1-R tyres. These have only done a couple of thousand miles, and they still have loads of tread.

I have the original airbox and gold 16" Subaru wheels. I may take less cash for it if you don't want the gauges and swap the wheels back to the standard gold Subaru's.

I will take serious buyers out for a spin as a passenger, but if you'd like to drive it yourself you'll need proof of fully comp insurance or a big stack of cash as a deposit - i.e. if you crash it, you own it.

I'm asking £10,900 and I know if you come and see it you will definitely want to buy it, it's a great looking car. Please email me if you want any more info, or pics of it, or call after 6pm on 01423 331551 or on 07855 078698 (please leave a message if I'm not in)

Cheers
Dave

Cheers,
Hope to sell it soon over the next few weeks, or months, otherwise i will be keeping hold of it. Its a great car and just about the fastest thing on the road, but a mate is selling an Exige which is temping me....if I cannot sell it before he sells his car, then I will keep it and probably do a few engine mods at RCM or Scoobyclinic.

Cheers
Dave
