Sadly the time has come to sell my Westfield ZEi220 Cosworth Turbo. (330BHP)

The history of this car is extensive and it is now a very well developed package. Incredibly fast on both the road and track. It is without doubt the quickest Westfield in the country that is usable both on the road and track. I drive it to every track day I do, including all the way to the Nurburgring and back. Basic spec is as below, genuine equiries for further information are welcome.

reaction time 0.587
60ft 2.221
330ft 5.611
1/8 ET 8.298
1/8 MPH 90.09
1/4 ET 12.547
1/4 MPH 115.79
Second fastest recorded Westfield at Santa pod on the SEiGHT web site list. Fastest is a 4.7litre supercharged. Drag racing is not my thing.
Donington park average lap time 1min 21 seconds 2 up on road legal tyres
Recent 0-60 timed runs at Donington park RS owners club national day on an uphill low grip surface. Set 2nd fastest time of hundreds of cars with 4.00 seconds. Fastest car RS200 500BHP groupB car, 3.98 Seconds. I expect 3.3 seconds on grippy flat road.
Current fastest lap around the Nurburgring is 8 min 10 seconds video confirmed. Top speed on the lap 145MPH. Genuine top speed of 155MPH on current tyres. Seen 165MPH two up, uphill on higher profile tyres.

This car has huge history. It is a real ZEi220. It was owned by Chris Smith, MD of Westfield as his own car for a couple of years and is in all the brochures for that period. I have many articles on the car in magazines and newspapers. I even have a backlit advertisement used in the London Underground with this car on, it was used to promote midlands industry.

The car is a fully type approved car, factory built. There are lots of special features that are unique to the ZEi220. It was built to sell only as a production car with its main market into Europe. I can confirm the car is an incredible long distance cruiser as well as hugely fast on track days. I have driven it to the Nurburgring 3 times this year from Manchester non stop.

I am sure there is plenty more I could add, It's very well known on tracks across the UK and is currently the quickest and highest power/weight car on the ringers list.

You can find a full lap of the Nurburgring of my car filmed from a chasing Yamaha R1. It's an 8min 10 second BTG lap on my 40th lap there. That's very quick for a relative novice. The car is an easy sub 8 minute performer. http://www.motorcycle-dk.com/en/mult...Vid=53&catId=7 this video has been downloaded almost 9000 times and has been shown on USA TV. Enjoy.

I can't say yet what i'll be using next year as it's dependant on selling the Westie. It's in the region of 630BHP/tonne though!

This is an exceptional car, i am open to offers.

I have just spent the last few weeks going through the car checking everything over and installing new bushes, servicing CV joints, UJ's etc so its ready for a years use on track and road.

I will advertise it in Motoring news next week if i get no response here. Asking price is a very realistic £14K

This car is fierce.. the thing is an absolute beast. Whoever is lucky enough to buy this animal from Felly will have one of the wildest road going track cars out there... I can vouch for its speed round the 'ring and the fact that Jon drives it there and back time and time again....
Someone, somewhere is gonna be very, very lucky soon and I'm gutted it cant be me

I remember looking for several ZEi220 for John a few years ago and John eventually bought one (can't remember if it was one of the ones I found).

I've been out in this car several times, Donno in 33 degree summer heat sticks in my mind as does Cadwell, in the rain Also, hearing some of the tales John tells of his trips to Germany etc.

Don't think I've had as much fun in any other road legal car....

Sorry to see it up for sale, but looking forward to whatever beast John gets next.

Cheers

Ian

Insurance is a piece of cake.

I use a specialist broker. I have it insured fully comprehensive on a 7,500 mile/year policy. With full no claims it costs me £330/year. That includes fully comp cover on track and agreed value.

You can pay almost that much for one days track insurance on a scoob!

Ian is right, i looked quite a while for my car. This one is the most famous ZEi220 made and has a huge specification. Because it was the MD of Westfield's own car it had every option possible. Even the dashboard is leather! I tend to overlook that stuff because i am more into the performance.

This car will out accelerate a Ferrari Testarosa, (almost anything really) i know cos i did it on the way back from the ring fully loaded up. He gave up at 150MPH. LOL

Unhappy

John - Sad to see the car for sale when I don't have the chance (cash!) to buy it !

Does this mean the 600 bhp Westie you described a while ago is on the cards?

Unfortunately not. Mind you a 10litre V8 in a westie is taking the **** really. That was a fun thread though!

I dont want get into describing what i am hoping to do but it's going to be quite a mindblowing piece of kit. If i dont sell the westie thats all achedemic though anyway.

Cool

Seems like a really good price. I saw one in Top Marques for £19,000 the other day.
Hope you sell it soon and at a good price as you deserve a bit of luck.

Well here we go, first up don't sell it, power for money Westfields are the way to go (Caterhams are better)
£19, 000 for a westfield I don't think so you can get a superlight R for that money.
£14,000, at top wack and I think if you get that you will be doing good.

I can put the add in Westfield World mag if you like and on there web site.

My car is worht in the reagion of £25,000, but I know if I ever sell it I will be lucky to get £14,000, and I have £11, 000 worht of Carbon Fibre body work on it.
