Hello,
After careful thought and thinking, I've decided to sell my Type R, I've only had her since last August but have hardly driven her due to a few problems?????????
The story goes like this, I brought the car, but had to get the head gaskets done, which meant it spent a few months off the road, also a few bits went missing and some damage to her as well, but we won’t go into that. After having her back for a few weeks, I went on holiday and left my car with a mate, on my return I was gutted to find that he had accident in her while I was gone, this again meant the car was going to be off the road for a long time while the body work was carried out, at the same time a bigger turbo was put on. So now it is March, the car had to go on the rollers to be mapped with new turbo, whilst on the roller the piston decided to show it self to the heads and totally destroying the bottom end!!!!!!!. So I have spent serious money getting the engine up to top spec, I have also changed gearbox to PPG one, the car is still at the garage but I will have her back soon, BUT I have lost interest in the car and going to go away from the Subaru scene as I feel something else will happen as soon as I get her back.
So I have just had enough now and is time to get rid, I paid serious amount of money for her in July last year, I brought her from a good friend of mine and I knew how much he spent on her, I would like to get some serious money back for her as well.
Also this car was in the top ten Scooby shoot out and TOTB a couple of years ago. It did 12.06 at the scooby shoot out in the 1/4 mile.
The car was great to drive and looks the dogs!! The last time the car was put on the rollers it was 408 bhp and I think about 360 torque.
The new engine specs:
New EJ257 block
Roger Clarke modified oil pump
New water pump
ARP head studs
Fuel lab billet fuel reg.kit
Billet fuel rails
Oil/Water cooler (modine)
Crower H rods, with ARP bolts
Custom wiseco 2.5lt piston kit( engine has been hones to suit)
ACL big end bearing
740cc injectors
Phase 1 inlet manifold
Exedy twin plate clutch with flywheel
All new gaskets,
Also while it was at the garage I got some bits powder coated ( blue)
The car will be mapped soon, and hope to be running about 450bhp and 450 torque PPG 5 speed gears 1 -4 helical cut synchro engagement
There is a lot of money spent alone on the engine rebuild alone.
Other Specs:
97 - P Type - R,
35000 miles(ish)
New front on her Sti 6 front spoiler
New age Front Bumper
Morretes twin headlight

The car has got a very good sound system in it, but I am unsure if I will sell it with the car!!
So you can see by the parts a lot of money has been spent and not spared on this great car, I may have only done maybe 6-700 miles since I have brought her.
As again I am looking at sensible offers, there alot on that list that is worth alot of money.

If you have a set price in mind for the car it is far easier to put this on the ad mate. People can then make up their mind whether they are interested with out the hassle of the pm's.
Good luck with the sale and I hope you get what you want for it.
