PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMY

I am thinking of selling my A4 for something more impractical whilst the summer is still here.

I spent quite a while looking for this car and spec. Why buy FWD when you can have Quattro? Yes the 1.9Tdi is more economical, but the V6 sounds so much nicer, performs better and still has decent economy.

I took the car to AMD in Bicester last december for a custom remap, and it now puts out just under 210bhp and 310 lb/ft.

The mpg was unaffected by this and I average 34/35mpg for my mostly urban driving in and around Birmingham, and 40+mpg on a run at sensible speeds (80/85-ish. Performance is on a par with the Audi 3.0Tdi.

Just had new front brake pads fitted last week.
