cheap runaround
I recently took this as a px for my cabriolet, I intended to just flog it on straight away, however I decided to use it for a bit once I had driven it as its great.
simon (gc8) will confirm this im sure, as I have just got it back from him after lending it to him whilst he sorted his wrx out.
its a 1997 Citreon Xantia 1.8i 16v Hatchback, the dreaded suspension has been sorted on this one (ile go into more details in a minute)
its taxed and tested for a few months, ive been over the car carefully and cannot see anything that will need doing to pass an mot.
all the tyres are very good, internally it looks as though its never been a smokers car as its very clean and no nasty burn holes, it has all the usual extras like electric windows pas, abs etc plus air con (which works perfectly and blows very cold) it has a stereo which can be controlled from the steering wheel.
the suspension was replaced in 2004 (all the suspension bulbs are stamped with a 2004 date) this is the one thing that de values these cars, in this condition the car drives absoloutly fantastic!! its very quick and surprisingly adgile with the suspension, I cant fault it at all.
theres a few marks on the exterior but nothing serious, all have been touched up, theres no rust at all.
the car has all citreon history and it looks upto date, the car has just gone past 100k miles.
heres a few pictures, because of the suspension being sorted and the fact its in such great condition im looking for £600 ono, but I may swap for a small diesel car for louise to learn in and for me to use for work.
heres some pics, as you can see I have polished it a few times and it comes up great. if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
