Default 1993 Type Ra, Apexi mapped

Regretful sale of my Impreza, due to redundancy.

If you are unsure what differences there are between the bog standard WRX and type RA, have a look at type-ra.co.uk where there is lots of spec information.

Mine had the optional E/W, C/L and A/C fitted when new.

It was imported in Sep 2004 and was totally standard. I am the first UK owner after the importer and have used the car as a weekend toy, always warmed up/cooled down properly and never tracked.

Mot until Nov
Tax until Sep
@ 120 K showing on clock. It had 107K Klms on import when it was converted/delimited. So around 80 K miles in total.

Full decat exhaust with 3" 5Zigen centre and backbox
4 pot brakes
Powerstation wheel alignment
255 LPH fuel pump

The car was fully serviced by importer. I have carried out numerous engine oil changes. The coolant, gearbox & diff oils were changed about 4 months ago. It starts, drives and stops as it should.

Apexi PFC, AVCR and induction kit now being removed from car, this is still a much better car than a standard wrx with the close ratio box and stronger block and is a bargain at the price. I will consider px/swap.

£3500

I'm based in S Wales just off the M4 and viewing is welcome, I am willing to deliver the car for the travelling costs.

Can't believe no one has snapped up this car with the spec . Bearing in mind these cars are rapid as standard. If i could afford two RA's i'd buy it mate. Good luck with the sale

Yep, its a buyers market im afraid! It's got the right mods and its a very good example of an early classic. It's looking more and more like I'll have to take the Apexi gear off and sell as standard, which is a shame because the car's flying at the moment. Sure you cant run 2 Ra's?

Having the same problem mate, my ra is more or less the same spec as yours and no one seems interested. I had one call last night of a guy who said it was to far to travel and could I do the 7 hour round trip so he could view it...told him to f@@k off.

STI Type RA's came with roof scoop not WRX RA's. Wish i could afford to run 2 RA's Steve . Running cost of mine alone are killing me . Whoever buys this car looks like there in for a good deal.

James

Steve if you do remove the power fc let me know how much your after mate . Does it come with the commander? Hopefully you should get a sale with her as she is.

Hi mate, if anything yours should be more desirable than mine with fmic and 550's. I wish I was a buyer atm, I wouldn't be buying a standard car knowing how much cash/effort it takes to get a scoob to this level and beyond. My next scoob would definately have all the work done to it by the last owner.
7 Hr round trip just to look at it?

Very true, buying a car thats already been done saves you a fortune. If mine ever sells I will have lost well over 1400 quid. And someone will get a bargain.

Good luck with the sale

Cracking looking car mate - if I wasn't blowing most of the budget on a 6 speed conversion for mine I'd be over to look at it as a second RA

Good Luck with sale.
