Just to make you guys aware I have ran a hpi check on this one as I was thinking of buying. There is a security alert on this car on the hpi register. They are coming back to me with the reason why and I will update when I have the info. Im not trying to sabotage the sale in any way sorry Steven but just making aware of what Ive found. I will update asap.

That normally means outstanding finance. I have a friend who works for a Insurance company and he done a hpi check for a car that I was going to buy.

He called HPi for me and they said that there is outstanding finance here is a settlement figure blah blah blah.

showing clear for finance. A security alert is a different thing altogether. This indicates police interest etc

Just found this on the hpi website, shame because we were interested.
Wonder what the problem is?

http://www.hpicheck.com/newfrontend/what_check.jsp

Security Watch
Many types of organisation (such as car rental companies) use HPI's Security Watch service to register vehicles that should not be put up for sale. The HPI Check will tell you if the car you want to buy is one of 120,000 vehicles that could be being sold illegally.
