Default STI Version 5 ECU Ecutek'd by Bob Rawle

As above, mapped for superunleaded, STI panel filter, 3inch decat downpipe & 3inch decat system (HKS hiper) , Walbro fuel pump.
£300 on its own or £100 plus your ECU
(will save you £200 plus VAT on a full remap as the Ecutek licence is already paid for.
Will also fit Version 6 & P1.
Cheers, John

Will this fit in a STi version 5 Type R and improve it or is the Type R settings higher than the standard ?

Hi Mike ,

as it happens my car is a Type R but apparently all Version 5 ECUs are the same.Providing you have similar mods your car will be faster & safer as the boost limit has been increased (with fuelling & timing changes) but also it has been mapped for UK superunleaded 97 RON petrol whereas the standard ECU expects Japanese 100 RON petrol.
Cheers, John

Daone, At the end of the day a remap for your particular car is best, however that is a very similar spec to mine it would prob be ok as it is but you really need at least a knocklink & boost gauge to make sure the engine is not grenading itself at high boost.

Your PM Account is full, so here is my reply

Yes i am very interested. I will take it. Do you have a paypal account i can pay ?

My mods are as follows, so i think it will help the car.

Apexi induction kit
HKS Sequential blow off valve
Blitz Nur Spec R Exhaust System
H & S Downpipe
255LHP fuel pump

so hopefully your ecu will be better for the car as i still have it running on standard ECU. So use octane booster.

Let me know asap tomorrow, so i can remove the ECU tomorrow and get is sent straight away as i would like to install your ECU this weekend.
