Four grand ????? Are you having a laugh ? You can pick up a new shape Mondeo with full spec for that.

In the picture of the interior of the car, there's a for sale board with the numbers 2 then 9 and you cant see the other 2.

My mate has JUST ( yesterday ) bought a W reg 2.0 16v, 86k with leather for under 1500 including all fee's from the auction.

Soz for hijacking your thread, but that asking price is ridiculous.

Ford Mondeo Hatchback (00 on)

2.0 Zetec 5d (00) 2001/Y

Average mileage 50,000 miles

Original Price£16,095Franchised Dealer£4,090Independent Dealer£3,815Private Good £3,535Private Poor £2,675
Part Exchange£3,045

For info. These are the Parkers Prices for a 2001 Zetec on 50,000 for those who wish to stick their nose in!

You cant argue with the facts,

1) Mine is a Zetec-s so obviuosly worth more
2) Mine only has 35k so obviuously again worth more
3) Mine has just been serviced MOT'd and taxed.
4) We all know parkers underprices cars

Point proved???

Your car is worth 2500 at the MAXIMUM, not a penny more. You cant understand that your car isn't worth the ridiculous asking price your after, and copy & pasting information from Parkers doesn't mean jack. The parkers guides are a " guide " not a true fact on what cars are actually worth.

At the auction, your car would make 2500 at the very maximum on a good day, if it was the new shape Mondeo, then it would be worth more, buts its not, its the old 1993 shape at the end of the day, and not many people want them for the price your asking. I go to the auction every week and have done for ages, so I think I have an understanding of what your car is worth.

Again, I dont mean to hijack your post, but as your so convinced that its worth what you say, all im doing is saying that your facts are wrong.

Sorry, I don't wish to upset you nor get into a war of prices, im just telling you ( for your benefit ) what the car is actually worth in real mans terms.

Take it or leave it.

If you can't accept constructive critisism then you shouldn't post on a forum.

I was only trying to help you out mate, as was Mr. Manchester and scooby_me

Good luck with your sale
