Anyone need a gearbox for a Jap import 98 WRX? It's got 'issues' so to speak...
It needs collection from near Beccles, Suffolk, unless buyer can arrange pallet collection or something. Might be useful to someone to recon or to replace a totally knackered gearset or something? I'll try and get a photo up soon, but it basically looks exactly the same as every other 752 box.
Make me an offer if you're interested. Cheers!
- where the release fork's pivot shaft goes in the side of the gearbox, part of the internal collar has broken off but is still there, and could be welded back on quite easily
- the sleeve that the input shaft runs through (what the release bearing slides back and forth on) is a little worn and will need turning down and resleeving
- no internal inspection has been made of the gearset but the oil was a bit shiny when it came out and a half inch long sliver of metal came out as well, so presumably there is some wear in there. However I have had no issues whatsoever with gearchange quality so far.
