Hi all,
I am selling the above car to make way for a better tow vehicle. No doubt I will forget some of the details so will keep adding:
Basic spec:
1994 2.0 16v MK3 Golf. Colour looks like Mystic Blue but the data sheet I printed from the dealers says a shade of Windsor Blue. 5 door on a L registration.
126k mostly motorway miles
Electric windows all round
Electric sunroof
PAS
Thermotronic (no idea what this is, seems to be a mix between aircon and a normal heater)
Sony CD player
Immobiliser
Removeable towbar with electrics
4 good tyres
MOT until can't remember, will find but sure it is 6 months+
Tax until January 2007
Good bits:
Lube service (oil an filter) changed 2k ago
New sump and gasket
4 months old FK lowering kit (shocks and springs) -35mm
Recent rear pads/discs/wheel bearings
Water housing on front and side of block recently changed
VAG plugs/air filter etc
NSF Track rod end replaced (old one was seized)
Track and camber recently done (when car was lowered) Printout to prove
New backbox
New rear engine mount
Bad bits:
Rear screen has been replaced badly as these are bonded in. This hasn't been done correctly and therefore the tailgate is rather rusty. Not noticeable from a distance but certainly a bit messy.
Clutch is fine but it feels like a finger or 2 have broken on the pressure plate. When you put your foot all the way to the bottom there is a knocking noise and resistance. I drive it by not putting the clutch down for the last inch and it's fine
Little bit of rust where OSR door closes and at bottom of OSF door. Not really noticeable.
Occasional rubbing from where it's lowered
Slight sagging in drivers seat outer bolster
Overall:
The car is 12 years old and has never let me down. The paint is all original and has minimal car park dents/dings.
The engine is very strong and is certainly one of the 'good ones'
The car gets driven daily 40+ miles to work and back on slow moving M25/M4. Other miles are clocked up travelling with a small trailer with my kart at 60MPH so it has had an easy life in my ownership.
The car is by no means mint but for the price (I need shot of it quick for the impending new arrival) is well worth the money!
£500
or £650 with a new clutch kit
Any questions you can get me on 07811 190400, PM me or ianp@second-sight.com.
Pictures available on request
Cheers
Ian
