Dear JMS,

Eventhough I have read that car you are about to sell is a four door, I was wondering that if you could give me a contact for an STI 6 Type R, since you are familiar with the importer who got this nice RA for you, which I believe is an STI 6 RA.

I am still hoping for a typing error. (RA to R)

Please excuse me for bothering and good luck selling your vehicle.

Best Regards,

Ronin

ps.: I would still love to see those pictures though.

Question

Hi JMS.I love STI RAs very much ,they are awesome machines.I am in a market for STI7 in our country but they are too pricey.I want to buy an old STI but in our country we have onl 95RON fuel.Is it damaging STI engine or just decreasing the power?
If there are no problems in that i can think about it.I am from TURKEY.Are there any problems with importing it to Turkey?
If you can inform me i will be very happy.
Cheers

Don't want to hijack thread but...

ronin, try Prodrive (www.prodrive.com) - motorsport sales.

They can get LHD cars as a base for group N rally cars.
You could try saying that you want one as a base for a rally car.

Worth a try???

Dear Pete,

Believe it or not, I have tried. Actually, the company who converts RHD to LHD works with them and they only get STI IV. RA-s now, since the others cannot be financed by anybody in this country. They have a sort of agreement as I believe. In addition, it comes already with roll cage in and prepared for rallying, so it would not be suitable for regular road use.

So, the only solution seems to be to import one myself and have them only to convert it for me. I hope that UK import Japanese STI Subaru will be available for sale soon. Actually, I have posted a message in Wanted section ('STI 6. Type R'), but no one seems to find an appropriate vehicle.

Thank you for your suggestion though.

Best Wishes,

Ronin
