Default 94 wrx in silver, slightly damaged

right, i bought this car last week and managed to stick it into a kerb on day 2! ridiculous considering ive owned nothing but very high power rear wheel drive cars all my life without incident! damage wise basicaly everything that holds the front wheel on need replacing; lower arm, suspension strut, track rod and wishbone, and front left wing. heres the pics:

As you can see its definetly fixable i just dont have the funds, would much rather sell it whole instead of breaking as i cant be doing with the hassle

below is the spec i was given on the car when i bought it:

1994 L reg subara impreza wrx(japanese import) 260bhp version around 280bhp now due to exhaust system etc

its had a new engine fitted in late 2005 and still have receipt for the engine with 60,000km about (37,000 miles)on it.

sti front lip etc and fog light covers, sti/p1 updated front grill, sti version 6 rear spoiler and red sti mudflaps.
aftermarket gold alloy wheels with receipt for them still, four good tyres with plenty of tread, uprated black diamond pads and drilled and grooved discs on the front, polu bushes on anti roll bars, front and rear GAB strut braces, brand new blitz sus power panel filter,
superchipped and turbo back 3" mongoose decatted exhaust system which sound really nice and not over the top, full red leather interior in very good condition and quite rare to find on imprezas with matching red leather door cards, momo gear ****, leather handbrake and gear gaiters but i havent fitted the handbrake one yet

most work has been done by collins performance engineering who are well respected in the scooby and ford modding circles

its been delimited so its not limited to 112mph anymore, its also got a gemini cat 1 alarm and immobiliser. i have lots of receipts for parts etc to show its had money spent and looked after, even have the import paper to show it cost £9500 when it was shipped over.

also brand new clutch fitted last week, and rear discs and pads. no rust underneath

6 months MOT and tax

pics b4 the accident:

engine still works fine since accident had a good look over everything and the only damage seems to be the front wheel and bits. gonna have a look around far as price is concerned so im open to offers at the mo. obviously it would need trailoring, car is currently at a garage in cripps corner, east sussex

most parts you'll have no prob taking off. just some of the engine stuff might be bit hard to get off if you aint that good with tools..lol. well if you decide to strip it i'm after the spoiler side skirts and front lip as i said before.. let me know and if you do a price and the car colour code to see if its the same silver as mine.

right i obviously have been unclear and need to clarify a few things;
1) I am NOT breaking it!
2) I am NOT in a position to pay any money or arrange for it to be moved, believe me i do not want this car to go but i cant afford to do the work
3) as ive mentioned to a lot of people, i am not letting it go for less than 1500, yes i am more than aware thatll itll need a bit of money spending hence why ive only asked 1500!! it wont cost a grand to repair, 600 at the most! you could strip it for parts and make over 2k selling things cheap. i would love to but just dont have the time

so please, enough of people offering 1000, dont take the ****! ive already lost a lot of money due to this car. open to sensible, genuine offers from anyone that can collect at, or by the wkend. many thanks

so lets get it really clear !!
1, why should i or anyone else offer 1500 for a car thats worth 2k or a little more broken ??
2, why pay 1500 and 600+ repairs for a car that is worth little more than that as a straight car (unprepaired good example) ???
3. the fact is, that its worth what someone is willing to pay for it in its current state, ie. broken !! the subframe doesnt look great etc etc and it needs labour ( not free !) ...so 1000 as is .......seems about right, as it might take more tham 600 to do the job properly !! this is all factual info !!
sorry its not what you want to hear but i personally wont buy a breaker at 1500 to please the owner !! sorry to be the bearer of honest news !

i own a bodyshop and in my opinion if you cant sort it/break it yourself your not going to get a better offer than a bag of sand whoever buys it isnt going to go to all the trouble of buying it getting it home finding parts and then doing the work for what to probably sell it for what £3K (if they can sell it cos they not exactly flying off the shelves at the moment) and there taking a chance on what it drives/runs like i can see from the pics of the n/s/f wheel that the tyre is virtualy through to the canvas what else may need doing ?

well thanks for the constructive comments guys! im not claiming its gonna be easy to fix but as ive said you could easily break it for parts and make well over 2k,
and if people could actually take the time to read the thread theyd notice ive said several times if i could afford to do the work i would but it jut isnt an option, so im seeing if anyone else who realises that may want it. if your not interested than dont make posts on my thread, it isnt exactly helpfull

i realise that, its probably got a lot to do with why it actually lost traction, id only owned it a few days and sadly didnt check the inside of the tyres. i think £1000 tops is a bit of an understatement though i mean even quickly breaking it down

wrx engine and turbo done 40k about 600 quid?
sti spoiler 150-200
interior 200
exhaust 100
so thats a grand already and thats selling at cheap prices

brakes, gearbox 3 alloys, strut races, arb, remaning suspension, all the other panels, front lip, headlight covers, head unit, whilst arnt worth loads, all add up. theres always someone who wants the bits who may of damaged theres

Stick it on ebay if your not in a huge rush to sell. That way you will either sell it or see what people are willing to pay/bid.

Good luck with the sale anyway.

Give the guy a break, if you were in his shoes would you not try to sell for as much as poss?
