MK1 Golf 2L Track Car for Sale
Emigration forces very, very reluctant sale of Trackcar.
Rebuilt approx 5 years ago from a baremetal resprayed shell and since then has been continually developed into the current specifcation. Properly sorted, fast and reliable trackcar. Road legal with 7 months Mot, but happy to MOT for another yr if required. Completely solid shell no rust.
Specification.
180bhp, 154ftlb, (graphs to prove) 805kgs, 223bhp/tonne
8.51 BTG Ring, 1.26 Donny, 1.25 Bedford West (evo test track)
0-60 5.9, 0-100 14.7 (gps timed with old 1.8 engine!)
2L 16v ‘abf’ Engine with flowed head and KR cams, modified air intake, 4 branch manifold with 2.5” Jetex Rally system, Baffled sump, Lightened Flywheel,
Helix Clutch with HD pressure plate and sprung organic friction disc.
Close ratio box - 3.89 FD and ATB LSD diff
with rose jointed linkage, quickshift and extended lever
Quaiffe quickrack 2.9 turns
Revised geometry - Ball joint spacers and rose jointed trackrods
To allow addition lowering without affecting factory rollcentres
Avo Coilover adjustable suspension with a selection of spring rates and solid adjustable eccentric topmounts
Converted to studs front and rear for easier wheel changing.
Eibach Anti Roll bars
Front lower and rear upper Strut braces and polybushed throughout.
VR6/G60 front brakes (280’s) with race pads and braided hoses
6 point Rollcentre cage with Harness bar
Luke Harnesses (6 point driver, 4 point passenger)
Polycarb windows and fully stripped interior, inc sound deadening and sunroof removed.
Cobra Monaco seats, (drivers side adjustable)
OMP Deep dish Corsica Wheel with Sparco 50mm spacer
2 sets of wheels with slicks and Toyo 888’s and a spare set of slicks.
Properly maintained with no expense spared, always has fresh brakes, wheel bearings, ball joints etc as required also has uprated headlight loom
Over £7k’s worth of receipts (no labour) and loads of spares inc gearbox, body panels, original windows and plenty more.
Available to own from early Feb 2007.
Can be viewed anytime and can be demonstrated at Silverstone GP on Sat 27 January 07.
Bad Bits - not a lot really, Stone chips on the front, passenger seat has damage to the base cushion but covered with a Sparco cushion.
£4200 ono.
Price negotiable depending on spares required and final spec of car.
Would love him to go to somebody who will use him properly and look after him, i know that sounds a bit gay but after you've spent 5 years of blood, sweat, and tears you can get a bit emotional! :gay:
