Im currently working away from home and car is not getting used so she needs to go! I've owned the car for 2 yrs and the engine work was carried out by its last owner, AJ Tunning. Was running 330 bhp @ 0.9bar when I first bought it. Shes now running in the at approx 400 to 430 bhp. I've not had her roaded since pushing the power up.
Oil used- Silkoline Pro S 10w-50, changed every 3 to 4k with original filters! Engine has done approx 15k miles since rebuild. Car was garaged for a year while I visited Austrailia and has had very little winter use.

Rossco.....
Ye from Inverness. Work away from home so dont use it much anymore.
SandyRS16i.....
Mmm that the vid wi 2 bikes?
DRB5.....
Yes the EJ257 is fine to run that boost (1.45bar) safely. I've had it just over 2 years an she's never missed a beat. Sam (the dentist) mapped the car perfectly and he's assured me she'll run all day long at power. He's been spot on.

Very nice mate.! top specification in a type 'R'. If only this was a few months down the line.
I sooooo want this car, and miss my old 2.5, but funds just don't allow it at the moment.

Its would feel much faster than the EVO, but not to say it was much faster. Bit like a BMW E36 M3EVO feels very slow for a 320bhp car, but pitch it against something else quick and you realise the BMW isn't slow at all.
Its all about perception of speed, if you have ever tried say a 130TDI diesal you wil know they feel really quick for what they are due to the torque etc. The 2.5 classic scoob is like a 130TDI deisal on serious steriods. It won't dissapoint.
Only place to go after a 2.5 classic IMHO is a big BHP skyline or real exotica big budget car.
